Honest Abe to go on trial - for racism

AURORA | The Community College of Aurora's professors will stage a mock trail that puts Abraham Lincoln on trial for racism at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at the college's Fine Arts building at 16000 E. CentreTech Parkway.
The trial is free and open to the public. Based on his speeches and written documents, teams for the prosecution and the defense assembled from the Community College of Aurora's criminal justice program and will try Lincoln to determine whether he was a racist and how his beliefs and attitudes influenced the course of the Civil War, Reconstruction and post-war society.

Sounds more like a statement from PETA on the rights of Mountain Lions and Wolves. Not on a member of the HUMAN race.

Of course it isn't. You might have to admit that when it cam to racial viewpoints your heroes, your idols, men like Jeff Davis and Thomas Jackson and yes, the sainted Bobby Lee were worse than Lincoln. Where would you be if you couldn't get up on your hypocritical high horse and condemn Lincoln for the very sins you give your side a pass on? That's absolutely no fun at all, is it?
By today's standards, yes. But by those same standards Bobby Lee is a vile, despicable racist. So is Thomas Jackson. So is Jeff Davis. So is every Southern leader you care to name. No comment on them? No criticism? No condemnation? Being racist is all right if your a rebel, is that it?

Sorry Non. If this is really conducted as a trial, Robert E. Lee's position would not be relevant and could not be introduced into evidence. Your point would be moot. No one would care.
Racism is a belief system or doctrine which states that inherent biological differences between human races determine cultural or individual achievement — with a corollary that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.
I vote "Guilty As Charged".
And Lord knows we can't make it about Bobby Lee. Heavens, people might look at his positions and decide that Lincoln wasn't so bad by comparison.

So Abe was advocating ruling another race? Hmmm, NOT. He was advocating FREEING THEM. Try again.
While it might be possible for a racist to not be a supremacist, as in the modern Democratic Party, every supremacist is by definition as racist. Now unless you will quit playing silly word games where words have no real meaning I hope you will just go away. Other wise attempt to prove your unsupportable assertion that Lincoln was not a racist.

This is just a simple trial. What is the problem? Why are you so worried about it?
