Yeah you did.

Your post:

"If one is dead, social issues mean nothing."

The social issues we are talking about here include the God given unalienable rights to life, liberty, 1st and 2nd amendment issues, etc. Most of us will fight to the death to defend these rights and we're not going to surrender to the socialists or to the socially liberal "conservatiives" who will do all in their power to strip them from us.

Besides, your "if one is dead" is a straw man argument. You're claiming that no other Republican candidate other than Rudy will fight the war on terror. That's a false statement.

Its a shame Rudy Giussolini chickened out after his, uh, marital difficulties. Hillary would have crushed him like she did Loozio.

Whatever you're being paid, it's too much. You really are making the case FOR Rudy!

You're also getting to be quite well known here. I hope that you enjoy your reputation. :-)

Pataki is NOT Italian and he can't and won't do anything at all to Rudy. Watching too many "SOPRANO" repeats, are you? :-)

Brownback has backed way off supporting the WOT, as well.

Pataki is of Hungarian origin, not Italian.

I somehow think Rudy will be our next president. I don't see anything in his way.

Its a shame Rudy Giussolini chickened out after his, uh, marital difficulties. Hillary would have crushed him like she did Loozio.

Rudy dropped out because he was diagnosed with prostate cancer during the campaign and Lazio was brought in to take his place. It's not like the maritial issues would have mattered with all of the baggage Hitlery and Co. were bringing. It was shaping up to be a titanic battle before Rudy got sick.

Apparently you are another who doesn't understand how truly repugnant and evil abortion is to conservatives. And it doesn't matter whether it's a democrat or a republican pushing it. Evil is evil. The government sanctioning of mass murdering innocent children in the womb is about as evil as you can get. We all lose if the Republican Party endorses, condones or becomes an active participant to such an evil practice.

Dream on! The prostate cancer was an issue long before he ran. He just used the "medical reasons" excuse because he was tanking against Shillery.

Of course, RudyBots believe that their grease monkey is clean as a whistle and walks on water. He is nothing more than a Noo Yawk Republican, which would make him a moderate Democrat anywhere else.

You obviously don't know about the long term friendship between Ronald Reagan and Rock Hudson.

1) He was not tanking against the beast. I believe he was initially in it until they began the chemotherapy. He could have beaten Shillary as it was a tossup when he bowed out.

2) I'd take Newt over Rudy in a heart beat. But Rudy over the rest of those clowns (McPain/Romney/Pataki) or the unelectable (Hunter, Tancredo, etc). Newt is more conservative on issues like gun control. However, my libertarian leanings make Rudy a closer fit on abortion.

3) Aside from abortion, gun control and gay rights (as opposed to gay marriage), Rudy is a good fiscal, law and order, small government conservative and would make an excellent President in these tough times. He also knows how to deal with the looney left, as he governed despite of those crooked RATs in the NYC council.

Do us all a favor and go back to the land of baked bean teeth. Your rootless cosmopolitanism is showing in your shilling for a Rockefeller Republican from that Island off the Coast of America.

Again, I NEVER said those things.

There are now many avowed candidates in both the GOP and the Dem fields; all but one from each party, at the end of the primaries, will be gone. One GOP candidate and one Dem candidate will go head to head, toe to toe with each other and no fringe party candidate will do anything for either major party this time around. That leaves us with a Dem candidate, whose policies and actions will lead to more attacks, by terrorist, on our soil and one GOP candidate, whose positions and actions most likely ( I don't trust McCain, even on the WOT ) will be the reverse of that.

Ergo, my statement, which is factual and has nothing whatsoever to do with an old COLD WAR canard from lefties.

1. Fiscal Conservative? You mean like a tiny tax cut that did NOTHING to break NYs addiction to the welfare state, to say nothing of kissing the a-s of the police unions?

2. "Law and Order" is not a conservative issue. You and I as citizens preserve law and order, not some greasy politician and some donut munchers from Staten Island and Orange County.

3. Foreign Policy? Aside from schmoozing with the Likudniks, Rudy has about as much foreign policy knowledge as Silvestre Reyes.

Rudy doesn't belong in the Republican party. He is more of a Gaullist than an AMERICAN constitutionalist. No thanks Coogine! ;-)

It looks to me like more than just a couple of folks on this thread need to be reminded just exactly what the purpose of this forum is.

I just popped on by the homepage, and I didn't see one single word about 'electing people who call themselves Republicans no matter what their record'.

You haven't changed it in the last 3 or 4 minutes, have you?

Unlike most of the other GOP presidential hopeful, Rudy isn't "threatening" nor dour, he is optimistic, comes off as a real person, but also a strong leader, so he can therefore attract Independents and some Dems, who find the Dem candidate, whether it is Hillary or Obama or Edwards or XXXXXXX too far left or soft or inexperienced or whatever, to suit them.
