On right now...
I like Hunter but I looked at a poll over the weekend and this is where he rated percentage wise: ---
The highest I've seen his ratings are at 1%. Most people don't even know who he is.
These are the only threads getting a lot of posts anymore. I have seen some with only 4-5 posts that are good and being ignored.
I am certain Ronald Reagan observed an eleventh commandment to the effect thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican.
I was in the Commodore Hotel at the 1964 National Convention for Young Americans for Freedom and Dick Allen led our delegation in a great deal of well-deserved cheerleading for Barry Goldwater.
The country would choose a defeat in Vietnam and a six-trillion-dollar war on poverty over the conscience of a conservative.
Since that convention the two tallest buildings in the nation went up and down.
Hillary complained about the air quality. The man who prosecuted Marc Rich and bounced Yasser Arafat supported the man with the bullhorn standing on the rubble.
Would anyone with a conscience support that woman over this man in 2008?
We are selecting our warrior in this fight; many reason while some bray like jackasses.
A cursory reading of the literature will show the barbarians have overrun Europe and America is alone, save for Israel.
Our president took out the man who paid a $25,000 bounty to every "suicide" bomber's family, and Rudy Giuliani campaigned for that man, and will continue this fight.
Hillary will surrender noon-fifteen January 20, 2009.
Therein lies the greatest contrast.
And justices are of equal import: Hillary will name say Janet Reno, or Lani Gunier [Howlin posits earlier today] to join Ruth Bader Ginsberg, and this must not be allowed.
Rudy praises Scalia, Alito and Roberts as his standard.
I applaud.
As for guns and abortion and gay rights, if the islamists overrun us, we shall have no guns, we infidels will be post-natally aborted, the gays first.
First the nation is preserved. Then we will have a constitutional structure and a legislative process to arrange everything as we are able.
He also said the rules should be different in different locales....Great, some animals are more equal than others. True of the rest of the Bill of Rights as well? Are you OK with that odd view?
"Freedom is about authority." - Rudolph Giuliani
i am a solid conservative... i think homosexuality is wrong... one of my most favorite people in the world is a gay man... he's my sister's friend and business partner...
now, i am in no way saying the Rudy is a conservative... nor am i supporting his presidency... but it is possible that one could be conservative and have homosexual friends or relatives...
If he is counting on one of the top three dropping out and then talking over their financial and political backing, as well as their team, he is far more stupid than I think is possible for him to be.
BTW, his negatives are as bad or worse than Hillary's are and no, that isn't about to change.
Narses keeps posting his little spam about the gun lawsuit Rudy was involved with.
Areafiftyone presented the facts of that lawsuit:
* Deliberately manufacturing many more firearms than can be bought for legitimate purposes such as hunting and law enforcement, and knowingly targeting these excess guns to criminals, youths and other persons unqualified to buy firearms;
* Deliberately undermining New York City's gun control laws by flooding markets with looser gun laws with firearms that the manufacturers know are destined to be illegally resold in New York City;
* Ignoring the illegal practices of gun distributors, many of whom openly engage in the above practices;
* Refusing to manufacture safer guns, with such features as trigger locks and "personalization" measures that allow only authorized persons to fire the weapon.
What is happening here is not only certifiable, but not helping their cause one iota.
How much spam do you ingest a day? I bet you keep that company in business. LOL
Thanks for posting that. It is very well said and everyone should read and heed! Thank you!
Could you please post that on every page of every thread, in case someone misses it? lol
Great post!

The quote was accurate and not taken out of context. It is not from some questionable source. It is from his mayoral website. It makes tonights statements sound very hollow indeed. The rest of the article is fairly appalling too:
http://www.nyc.gov/html/records/rwg/html/97a/ccc.html
Do you agree that these are his unambiguous words?
Yes! I think we should start posting our own spam on every page of every Rudy thread. I am dead serious.
Since the mods and forum owner don't mind, we should make sure that lurkers and people popping in for a quick check of the thread don't get the one-sided spam.
I've got a few that I'm watching. They seem pretty conservative to me both fiscally and socially and they are just as committed to fighting the war against Islamic Fascism. I see no reason to throw away our pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun platform to elect a social liberal. Hell, as much as I dislike McCaine, if it comes down to him or Rudy to block Hillary, I might just... well... I think I'll be praying a lot.
How about Newt??
You haven't the ability to write for yourself, so you CCP other peoples' things and post links. No voice of your own, means that you are incapable of thinking and writing and that you are but a mechanical parrot, no better than a plagiarizer.
You aren't making much sense. Rudy will blow the rest of the field away. Get ready to deal with him. I am very conservative, watched the interview and couldn't see why he wouldn't make a good president....especially in the time we are now in. Frankly, I've also been on his case some times, but I can't see anybody who is going to be able to beat him.
along with the 96 other senate votes Ginsberg got. and if you note that quote that has been posted, the Colmes interview, you'll see right there he praises her intellect, but notes that her ideology is not in line:
"I mean, she was she maybe came at it from a very different political background"
republican presidents don't litmus test their judicial picks. no openly anti-Roe justice can be confirmed anyway. we pick constitutionalists, and let the chips fall where they may when the cases get there. pro-choice republicans support those picks - what was Arlen Spector doing sheparding Roberts and Alito onto the SCOTUS? other pro-choice republican senators voted for them, why did they do that? if every pro-choice RINO strictly excluded these kind of justices, they wouldn't be on the Court right now.
