For me it's all about the war on terror. I don't agree withhim on pro choice or gun control BUT I fear so much Hillary will win and then it will be "God help us all"!! Rudy would take the fight to the terrorists and wouldn't back down to any one on that war. For that reason alone I would vote for him. If we don't win the war on terror the rest of it won't matter.

By the way you not provide a link to your assertion that Ms. Dole was in a commanding lead poll wise in Jan. 99. You mentioned Gallup but their poll has Bush around 42 and Dole about 25..... Doesn't sound commanding to me.
