I can't even fathom why somebody thought that this would be a good advertisement for that particular product and why they chose to air it during this event, especially when they knew children would be watching. Because they knew that everyone, especially people like you, would be talking about it the next day.

All this complaining about the snickers "kiss". Not one complaint that the two auto mechanics were not wearing safety glasses!

I swear, some of the "conservatives" on this site look for any excuse to be as offended as their liberal counterparts.

CBS had the commercials posted on their website last night - but the Snickers commercial was no where to be seen as of about 9 CST

I won't be buying Snickers...I don't want to run the risk. So I look at the commercial as a welcomed warning on the part of the company of a risk buying their product carries.

Actually, I found it mildly humorous, although overall stupid. I didn't think the ad was pro-gay by the reaction of the two men as they pulled back in horror and proceeded to demonstrate their manliness by ripping out their chest hair.
Was the ad dumb - yes. Are people over-reacting? Yes.

I can't see what the problem is: If they're practically screaming “Snickers is gay!!” on prime time tv, they are calling for a boycott themselves already: If people associate Snickers with yucky gay sex, they'll lose their appetite quickly ;-)

No offense chief, but this is why conservatives get labeled as intolerant and humorless. It wasn't the funniest commercial of the night, but it doesn't deserve the overreaction seen here.
To: ChiefJayStrongbow
I agree 100%. That ad was so homophibic, I can never again buy their products.

Calling that nbr likely gives the bean counters evidence that people watched it, and that is what they want to know.
Better to ignore the thing, don't buy their product, and let the sale numbers come in over the next several months.
They'll take that type of message a lot more seriously than any phone calls.
