Advertisements in Superbowl - Snickers commercial

Last evening, as I watched the Superbowl with my nine year old son, I became extremely annoyed at the MARS Corporation and their advertisement for Snickers which showed two guys locking lips. I can't even fathom why somebody thought that this would be a good advertisement for that particular product and why they chose to air it during this event, especially when they knew children would be watching. If their aim was to draw controversy in the hopes of increasing sales, then I sincerely hope they missed their mark. I hope that, instead, they lose sales because of their idiocy.

I called in and registered my strong disapproval this morning at 1-908-852-1000. (If you call, when you get the phone tree, just press "0")

Our family will not be buying MARS products ... Products that MARS makes/distributes: M&M'S, SNICKERS, MARS bars, Milky Way, Skittles, and TWIX.

Sometimes its just funny to sit here and read what people write. I have to ask myself if you are really this ignorant, or if you are making this up. I think you are making this up for fun.

No offense chief, but this is why conservatives get labeled as intolerant and humorless. It wasn't the funniest commercial of the night, but it doesn't deserve the overreaction seen here.

Are you serious? You've eaten Snickers bars for two decades, and you'll never buy one again because of this commercial?

I'm going to buy them by the case, just to p*** off people on this thread. LOL.

I agree 100%. That ad was so homophibic, I can never again buy their products.

AB did one ad, a few years ago--right after the war started. It was the guys walking through the airport.

It was good and it made an impression. AB is about selling beer.

By this time, if you are coming from, or going to Iraq, you drink more beer than you should--and with good reason. If you are there, you dont drink any.

If you are not there, and not going there,--AB isnt going to remind you how much it sucks to be on the other lists. It would rather make you laugh.

That makes sense right?

AB is a great company and supports the troops and its employees in the reserves and guards. I just dont care for their beer. But their commericals are good.

"Seeing Prince all washed up doing the halftime show was pretty funny."

Yeah, who made that decision? NFL? CBS?

He wasn't booed. He was moo-ed. His first name is Mushin. If you are aware of any athlete named Deuce or Lou (as in sweet Lou Whittaker), You'd understand this phenomena.
_____

late 60's early 70's, the Orioles had a mountain of a man, Boog Powell, at first base. He said that as it got later in his career, it got tougher to hear the 'g' at the end.

Now he sells grilled meats (I won't say BBQ cuz he uses direct heat) at the O's games.

1. I don't know; and they didn't shave it.

2. You didn't see the commercial, yet you somehow know exactly what was in it. That's Amazing, Kreskin.

You see that dumb commercial as something that is "helping destroy this once great nation". I hate to repeat myself, but here goes:

Everybody out of the pool, wku man is doing cannonballs right off the deep end.

She said she and her husband turned to the Puppy show at commercials. Her husband did it for her because she was not the football fan; he was.

Prince has apparently converted to Jehovah's Witness. The NFL was assured of a very tame (and they got it) halftime show.

It was obviously pushing the homosexual agenda and pushing it during an hour when kids would be watching the game ... to think otherwise is naive. I can certainly object when a group of people are overtly trying to expose my kids to a lifestyle I find aberrant.

I can tolerate someone who lives that lifestyle in a private manner. I can't tolerate it when they are sticking it in my kids face.
