No, not "Born to be Wild". "Born to be Mild".

[RE: Huckabee, MTP]

Yeh. The trouble is, with world conditions as they are, we don't need a mild leader, we need a strong, determined leader. We've had enough of the milquetoast panderers in elective positions in Washington.

Here comes the Katrina question for Vitter in the hopes of getting him to say something ugly about Bush.

Vitter is disappointed it wasn't mentioned in the SOTU but then points out that in real terms, he's kept his promise.

Why do they think it's such a big deal to get mentioned in the SOTU? It's much more important what you do! I think this is just ludicrous.

My point is this: who is going to take care of the decor in the White House, the china and seating arrangements, the Christmas decorating....BILL?

Bill won't have time!!!!!

What with all the ticket sales for the Lincoln Bedroom, handling intern assignments, and such.

Schumer says that when he got to congress, crime was ripping his district apart and the ACLU, he discovered, was writing the crime legislation.

Morning everyone, and congratulations to last weeks winners from me as well.

AB, Biden is a committee chairman so he gets invited.

Still, I have to agree it would be nice to see new faces on these shows. Especially if they'd get some real conservatives to appear.

I didn't get the impression he was wishy-washy. He came off as someone who really considers issues. I said earlier in this thread his critics will say he is not passionate enough or seems to be indifferent. We'll see.

Can't say as I disagree, problem is I have become very myopic.
I have one goal in 08. to keep Hillary out! Therefore I will vote for almost any Republican who I think can keep her out.
The biggest problem I have is will I have to leave some of my conservative credentials at the door? I think not. The candidate may, but I won't.

You may be able to watch Senator Brownback disembowel his 2008 Presidential Campaign live on national TV today. IF, as rumored, he comes on and announces he will support the Democrats gutless Iraq Resolution Brownback is finished. You might just get to watch one of the greatest political miscalculations in US History live on your TV's today.

For Brownback to take this position the same week more the 27,000 of the most activist Conservatives in the Country sign this pledge indicates a political tone deafness that makes one wonder just how Brownback even managed to get elected to the US Senate in the 1st place.

http://truthlaidbear.com/thenrscpledge/index.php

27,112 people have signed The Pledge thus far. Will you?

If the United States Senate passes a resolution, non-binding or otherwise, that criticizes the commitment of additional troops to Iraq that General Petraeus has asked for and that the president has pledged, and if the Senate does so after the testimony of General Petraeus on January 23 that such a resolution will be an encouragement to the enemy, I will not contribute to any Republican senator who voted for the resolution. Further, if any Republican senator who votes for such a resolution is a candidate for re-election in 2008, I will not contribute to the National Republican Senatorial Committee unless the Chairman of that Committee, Senator Ensign, commits in writing that none of the funds of the NRSC will go to support the re-election of any senator supporting the non-binding resolution.

Bush has a responsibility to make sure the funds and materials are allocated for N.O.; but that's all. The biggest problem down there is and always will be the total corruption and lack of organization at the local level.....plain and simple.

One of those 27,112 signers of the Pledge is mine, I'm proud to say. And I DO keep my word.

Right again MM!

Another example of the blatant media bias, and I brought this upon EC's show yesterday, is the msm's failure to ever acknowledge how many terrorists we are killing! All we hear is "our" body count and we hear it hour after hour as if it is a campaign. And it is!

"Let’s talk… let’s chat… let’s have a dialogue."

Yeah, that's the ticket. Hillary wants us to love her because she's SO interested in what anyone has to say. (end sarcasm)

Well I am from evangelical branch of the Christian church and I do not recognize Mormons as part of the Christian church but it would not stop me for voting for one if their policies were mine.

So again I say "why is the question relevant" of course I answer my question exactly as you say to divide the conservatives/republicans/religious right. They think they can use this tactic like they did the Mary Cheney thing in the 2004 campaign; have they learned nothing that had the reverse effect and I think the Mormon issue will do the same.

It is irrelevant whether they consider a Mormon part of the Christian faith or a separate cult or religion or whatever what is important can the person do the job he is running for and has he have the best interests of the country at heart.

I fully agree. As of now, Romney & Hunter seem like a good match.
