White House hopeful Tom Tancredo said Thursday the existence of the Congressional Black Caucus and other race-based groups of lawmakers amounts to segregation and should be abolished. The request comes in the wake of reports that Rep. Stephen Cohen, D-Tenn., was refused admission to the caucus because he is white. All 43 members of caucus are black.

Tancredo opposes the continued Balkanization of America. Black Caucus? Hispanic Caucus? Asian Pacific American Caucus? Where's yours in the 109th Congress? Time for a reminder from a great American as to why Tancredo is right:
WORDS FROM THEODORE ROOSEVELT, 1907
In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant comes here in good faith and assimilates to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated on the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American but something else also, isn't an American at all. ...We have room for but one language here and that is the English language and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is loyalty to the American people.

I wonder what the response from the black Caucus would be if John CONyers were to push for legislation to reinstate segregation of schools?

I agree with this guy. Race is a myth that is constantly perpetuated by the left in order to control people. Black, white, and whatever else is is all about
culture not skin color or nationalities.
End the race wars and all their phoniness.

How do they define "black", anyway? Is it defined by physical characteristics such as a particular skin tone or hair texture, or is it defined merely in terms of cultural identity (and thus, you are "black" only if and only if the "black" subculture accepts you as such, much like the authentication judgement of hipsters, BMX racers, or indie rockers)?

A Jewish caucus would be small but it would send them off the rails.

I had a friend from Bermuda who refused to classify himself as black. He claimed he was "other" or just plain Bermudan.

The request comes in the wake of reports that Rep. Stephen Cohen, D-Tenn., was refused admission to the caucus because he is white. The Congressional Black Caucus wouldn't admit Gary Franks or J.C. Watts either... because they were conservatives.
They should be the Congressional Liberal Black Racist Caucus.

My first thoughts would be infiltrate/takeover or infiltrate/destroy, but that is a very good question.
