...Which one of those "choices" can get elected?...

This looks to easy, I smell a "trap" here :)

Obviously, I and many believe Duncan has enough we like to help him at least to 'take off.' I think we should at least allow him the position to 'sell the goods.' He appears fantastic to us... But we realize he has to attract many more for him to win. Who is to know that he can not do it?... Maybe he can, etc etc.

Another thing... :)... Let's just say that we have at least two groups in the Republican party - At least of what I have noticed here in FR - Whatever the issues is... We seem to have TWO DEFINED DIFFERENT SIDES. Ok? well, those sides may have different "values." ok, let me cut to the chase. FOR ME, "Winning" with McCaca, Giuliani would not be winning...Why? well, because for many of us if we don't "hold the line," (and we seem to be the only ones fighting it, reason for which I AM A REPUBLICAN!) on what appears to be a downhill path into a cespool of a society without any morality like we can already see in several European Countries; for us, that is UNACCEPTABLE! and we will not elect anyone we consider to be questionable on those issues. Now if a Democrat wins, they we might go down that path any way...(well, not really... We still can do a lot as the opposition, the margins will be very close) but that would the DEMOCRATS, not REPUBLICANS.

Does that make any sense?...

Principes matter, character matters... but if you help to elect someone you know is questionable on those two, then how in hell are you to complain later on when he does something to hurt your causes?... Just because a 'politician' says "I am agains this or in favor of that" That means *&^%$ as far as I am concerned. I have to look deeper. And that is exactly the problem I have with McCain, Guliani and certainly Romney... I don't trust them for the reasons I explained above.

Ok, that's it, I will stop here... I know you'll go crazy with this :) probably becuase your "values," are different from mine, BUT, that is the way I FEEL about it. So you see, I have not choice... DUNCAN looks fantastic from my perspective. :) Could he win? who knows!... Does anyone can see into the future?...

Sorry. LONG again... I just hope what I said answers a lot of the typical questions. I am done for tonight :) - GOOD NIGHT

I read your post. I'll give you some feedback. You would get more respect from me if you spent your time being *positive* about what you support - rather than trying to trash what you don't like.

If you support Hunter - there is no honest reason that I can see for you to be on a Rudy thread - trashing away. For me, it makes me question YOUR character.

No that was fine. I actually have probably the same 'values' package as you but I don't feel afraid of Rudy because I believe those social views belong in the states and a POTUS does not have much to say about them. This has been reiterated over and over on these threads.

I just have a real issue with people stating they would not vote for Rudy under any circumstances in which case you are voting for the Liberal and your conservative credentials are meaningless

I would certainly vote for Hunter. I would enjoy a RUDY/HUNTER ticket. I would vote for a HUNTER/RUDY as well.
