Thank you for continuing to pray and for your patience in waiting for news of Carrie.
Today I received a family update from my aunt and uncle, at their home on the other side of Michigan from Carrie, again, with no news of Carrie other than that of events surrounding her. I wish I had more to report than to say that I have no news to pass on. There may be little improvements, or she may be improving slowly but not visibly (such as in growing nerves where they were damaged in the collision).
I know her family is grateful for any continuation of prayers before the day when things do change very much for the better. We are continuing to believe that the Lord is working healing in her.
Prayers continue for Carrie’s healing, Gretchen.
Prayers sent
Prayers are still continuing for Carrie and her family, Gretchen.
Prayers lifted, Gretchen.
Gretchen, Carrie is in my prayers always...as well as you and your family.
Keeping Prayers headed their way!!!
I continue to pray for Carrie and her family.
Keep us posted though. No news is still good news:’) I hadn’t heard from you in awhile and was thinking about sending you private mail for an update.
We are to walk by faith and not by sight. You are all on the right track. Carrie is in the hands of the Great Physician, and were Jesus visibly standing right there beside her, none would deny that He is the Healer. Because believers hold this belief as an act of faith apart from the senses, it makes the truth no less real.
Gretchen,
Even though I read your updates, I haven’t been posting to Carrie’s thread, but please be assured I have not stopped in my prayers for Carrie, and her family over this time.
Prayers for Carrie bump!
This is another one of the hard times - the crises are over, and the progress looks slow.
I’m spamming all the prayer threads with my relaxation advice:
Read Psalms 104:14-15, Job 38:4-7, and Matthew 7:11.
Okay, heres my advice for something to do every time theres a loud noise, when a TV commercial comes on, or you just need to breathe - its good to loosen those shoulders, neck and decrease butterflies in the stomach, too:
Take a couple of deep breaths, let your stomach muscles relax and bring your shoulders down. Now, close your fists loosely, bring your hands straight out in front, with your thumbs pointing down - you should look as though youre pouring out two bottles. As you inhale, raise your arms straight out in front, keeping your thumbs pointed down. As you exhale, let your arms come down in front. Let your shoulders down even more. Take another deep breath and repeat.
...patience is one of the things I usually have plenty of (:
(as I remember it wasn’t a certainty that Carrie would still be here-everything in God’s time)
