My aunt and uncle sent this out to our family at 6:30 AM today. Carrie is my young cousin, a very gifted artist, and the second eldest among her siblings. She and her family are in Michigan.
Prayer reqeust from my aunt and uncle (Carrie is their granddaughter).
This morning on her way to work Carrie's car slid on the highway and into a tree. She has very bad injuries, especially to her head. Her brain is swelling and she is now in surgery. They plan to open her skull to allow for the swelling, and she is not responding. They don't give her parents a lot of hope. We are telling everyone so you can join us in praying for our dear Caroline. They called her parents about 7:45 this morning and they're at the hospital now.
Love this update; continued prayers for Carrie. God is awesome. I know with some scotch tape and a printer there is already a cloak of e-prayers...
More prayers for Caroline.
Prayers for Carrie and family ~P~
Thanks for the update.
Prayers continue.
Blessings on the prayer cloth.

Prayers for Carrie & family. I will be back on Sunday ~P~
Hi Gretchen...just a note to let you know that Carrie, her family, and you are constantly in my thoughts and prayers.
God Bless you my friend.

Laura, what can a person say to such a wonderful, loving thing, except a very inadequate thank you? It is mutual, too: I think of all of you who are praying all the time, and ask God to bless each one of you. I know we all feel the enormous blessing of being bathed in so much prayer.
Here is news of some fruit for your prayers. My cousin, M, Carrie’s mother, has returned to playing either the piano or organ (can’t recall which) for her church on Sundays. That, to me, was a very large indicator of how much things have settled down in the world around Carrie, of how much the family has entered into what I would call a “working rest” while they wait on God to mend Carrie and then raise her up in newness of life.
I hope to have an update tomorrow or Monday.
Thank you, Gretchen..and I have a message for you.
A lot of the freepers that have been banned and can’t post here want me to tell you that they are still praying for you and Carrie..and they think of you all of the time.
They do check this thread...but they can’t post..so I told them I would pass the message to you.
Carrie has a lot of fans on the WA site...

Prayers for Carrie & family. ~Pandora~
From my uncle and aunt
[We went home this weekend.] Today we went to church. Pastor had a real nice prayer for Carrie and so many folks stopped to let us know they pray for her. We are grateful for their prayers and concern.
Carrie is scheduled [for the third time] to have her skull piece replaced sometime on Tuesday. We pray that all goes well. She is getting good care at home. She probably will have to stay in the hospital overnight after surgery.
We hope this finds everyone in good health and good spirits.
We Love You, [my uncle and aunt]
Father God, I pray that nothing interferes with this planned surgery for Carrie on May 22. Please keep Carrie calm, healthy, and stable through her preparation, surgery, recovery, and homecoming. Do a mighty work within Carrie to keep her at peace. I speak peace to everyone and everything around Carrie, in Jesus' Name. Glorify Your Name through everything that happens in Carrie's life. Send angels, fresh from Your face, to attend to her and all the people involved in this procedure. Thank You, Lord, for all You are doing for Carrie and her family!
God’s blessing be upon Carrie in abundance this week, and always.
Carrie is prayed for here too. I sure hope they are able to do the surgery on Tuesday, and pray for its success.
Glad you made it to church, and you were surrounded by love, faith and prayer. Thank you for the update, I looked for one yesterday.

Prayers for Carrie, her family and her doctors.
Hopefully she can finally have the surgery she needs.
Prayers continue for all to go well.
Thank you Gretchen. I will be away from my home on and off until next Tuesday, but I will continue to pray for Carrie and her family.
Dear Lord,
Please look upon your servant, Carrie, with great kindness Tuesday as she undergoes surgery. Please grant every wisdom and skill to the doctors that they’ll need for success. Thank you for the mercies You have bestowed upon this family in this time of trial. Bless and grant courage and strength to your servant Gretchen as well.
These things we ask in Christs’ Name.
Amen
