The universalism of Islam, in its all-embracing creed, is imposed on the believers as a continuous process of warfare, psychological and political, if not strictly military. . . . The Jihad, accordingly, may be stated as a doctrine of a permanent state of war, not continuous fighting. Majid Khadduri

Terror can be instilled only if the opponents Faith is destroyed . . . . It is essential in the ultimate analysis, to dislocate [the enemies] Faith. Those who are firm in their religious conviction are immune to terror, a weak Faith offers inroads to terror. Therefore, as part of preparations for jihad, actions will be oriented on weakening the non-Islamics Faith, while strengthening the Islamics. I think it is interesting that they tie secularism to weakness. I hadn't considered this before, but now that I'm thinking about it, I can see a definite relationship between Godlessness, media fear-instillation, and a population cowering in the face of 1000 deaths a year, far fewer casualties than just about any war in history.

I wonder what would happen if I posted this in my office:

You sure distilled the core out of that. I have indeed seen non-Christians filled with worry that I simply don't feel because of my faith in the Lord God.

We are in a helluva fix when our enemy understands us better than we understand ourselves.
