God Bless Chris and may God comfort you during this difficult time.
I am proud of your Son's service to his country, thank you. My heart aches for you too. God Bless.
Welcome to Free Republic too.
Your son is an American hero.
Dear Mr. Mason -- thank you for your sacrifice. You and your family are great Americans.
I am so sorry. Prayers for Chris and for you and all the family.
While some among us, weak in mind and spirit, cannot understand the cause of freedom, others, such as your brave son, give their lives in a cause that saves and protects all of us.
Your son died that others may live. There can be no greater sacrifice. He represents the best that is in us.
Whenever a young person among us gives up his life in a noble and just cause we are each brought to our knees in praise and thanksgiving.
Dear Father, we lift this grieving family up to you, asking that you comfort and strengthen them in their time of grief and suffering. And we pray that you receive your son Chris with welcoming, loving arms.
Amen
Because of Brave Men like your son Chris, We Will Prevail. We are all Blessed to live in the Greatest Country in the World. I thank Chris and your Family for your Love, Dedication and Sacrifice. God Bless you All.
My heart felt condolences to you and your family and I salute your brave son.
Mason also said he was never afraid while in Iraq. Ron Pierce, Relative : " He had said to me, you know, the guys over there cannot understand it. I can lay my head right over on the window of the Humvee and go sound asleep. They didn't understand how I could do that. It's because I have the peace of God in my heart and that if I do get killed here, that's not the end of my life."
What a testimony for Chris. It is true From Romans 8
8 What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
32
He who did not spare his own Son but handed him over for us all, how will he not also give us everything else along with him?
33
Who will bring a charge against God's chosen ones? It is God who acquits us.
34
Who will condemn? It is Christ (Jesus) who died, rather, was raised, who also is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us.
35
What will separate us from the love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword?
36
As it is written: "For your sake we are being slain all the day; we are looked upon as sheep to be slaughtered."
37
No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us.
38
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, 9 nor future things, nor powers,
39
nor height, nor depth, 10 nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
