Thanking all involved, and said that one of the reasons for doing this today, is for the other missing children. He says that he remembers when Elizabeth Smart was found and how much hope that gave them, how that fueled their hopes.

Yes, that is the little girl. Amazing how she was just walking around in the store and no one was paying attention to her. I don't think people should dwell on why Shawn didn't communicate with people who he was.Obviously this phenomen is common among kidnapped children.
yes, i got that wrong and have already realized it. I can only hope this boy doesn't end up like Steven as well. It appears with love and support from his mom and dad, and the love of Jesus he will be ok.
He needs our prayers and that is the most powerful thing!
I'm on CNN now, and they are showing footage of Shawn, who has grown up to be one very handsome young man.
We need to all pray for him, that he can overcome what has happened.

What?! FOX has been alert bonging that presser all morning and they didn't cut to it?
FoxNews is too busy with cooking lessons and fluff to worry about real news.
Wathed the family presser. The media was VERY respectful. Also noted the law enforcement folks standing in the background, at one point reminding the mom and son to refrain from answering specific questions.
FNC sticking to their usual lame weekend schedule.
Unbelievably they didn't. I had to go to MSNBC to watch it.
I was pleasantly surprised.
Did you see Shawn's reaction to his mother when the question was asked about the blogging on the website? I'm a little more convinced this morning that he did leave those as clues.
Guess eventually we'll find out.

His step-father answered that they had only been made aware of the blog entry about an hour before, and that they had not discussed it with Shawn.
Another lame performance by an increasingly disappointing Fox.
Ben Ownby's family is scheduled to do a press conference in an hour.
I sent them an e-mail asking why they Alert bonged us all morning with this upcoming presser and then never went to it. I'm sure no one will read my e-mail and even if they do, it's too late but it made me feel better. ;o)
One of Fox's worst performance's ever. Be ready for a good cry when you do get to see it.
