She certainly appears to lean left -- but doesn't really push it. In many ways -- tough on crime, personal accountability -- especially when it comes to finances and school -- she seems conservative. As a matter of fact, if Barak Obama doesn't get behind a one-strike-and-you're out law for abduction/molestation crimes, I think she might abandon support for him.

I think the one strike your out law on child molester's what has to happen in this country. In fact as a politcal activist that I have been here in Texas this is going to become my new interest and I want to do whatever it takes to try and change the law here!

I am positive that Shawn was not the first boy Devlin took and his days were numbered.

You know I thought and several said that Ben was likely the replacement for Shawn. You are absolutely right in that the logical progression is that Shawn probably replaced another child. I hope somebody looks into that.
I also thought that Devlin abducted 2 boys that resembled himself. I think they ought to look into any missing boy cases from the late 90's with brown hair and similar features.

I did think that all the boys seemed to have a similar look, no blondes, red heads, etc. Even the missing ones that haven't been found seem to be his "type".

I just came across an article from yesterday that perhaps has been discussed, but it's the first I heard - that Devlin is being considered in a case from 1991? A boy who apparently resembles Shawn. Is that what you meant by ones not been found being his type?
A suburban St. Louis man charged with kidnapping two Missouri boys is under investigation in the disappearance of a third Missouri boy — 16 years ago.
Michael Devlin is the "most viable lead" in the case of Charles Arlin Henderson, who was 11 when he disappeared in 1991 and has never been found, Lincoln County sheriff's deputies said.
The long-missing boy, known as Arlin, was, like Ownby and Hornbeck, about 100 pounds and from a rural town about an hour from St. Louis. Both Hornbeck and Henderson vanished at age 11 while riding their bikes.
"If you were to take a photo of Arlin Henderson and you place it next to Shawn's picture, there is a striking resemblance," sheriff's Lt. Rick Harrell said.

The only thing that worries my about a one strike and you're away for life law is that I fear it will be an incentive for the pedophile to kill his witness. If he's going to get life in prison anyway, why not kill the child and increase his chances of escaping conviction? The law would also have to make it a capital crime if murder accompanies the molestation. (In a lot of states a single murder, alone, is not enough for the death penalty.) Honestly, I'm not even big on the death penalty.

I say call or write Chrysler/Dodge (the big guy) and see if they will give Mitchell a truck. On Ellen D. they just gave some man a SUV on her show for saving someone's life on a subway not too long ago.

i see your point, but something has got to change. These animals must be stopped.

I would really love to see stuff easily available for kids to wear some type of GPS device in their shoes so as soon as they go missing and the parents realize it the cops can place the child asap! I think that of course it would be up to the parents to do this, but knowing what I know now I would totally do it. I hope more things like this become available as time progresses.

I suppose they aren't looking into the Scott Allen Kleeschulte case because they figure Devlin was too young? That boy went missing in 1988 so Devlin would have been around 20. I have no doubt he was well aware of his "proclivities" by that age.

Devlin was 22/23 when Scott came up missing and yes they are looking at that case also. It is up to each county who has a missing child to get with the other counties and the FBI. Scott was from St. Charles CO

He may have perfected the hostage, live in thing later, but as far as proclivities go, I would think pedophiles always have that urge. He could have done very bad things at a younger age.

I wonder what Devil's story was going to be to neighbors and such--Shawn no longer living there (if he disposed of him) and Ben now living there. What story could possibly be believable?

I wonder how many other kids he victimized?

Also we are not going to hear about everything going on behind the scenes. If there is something strong that points to Devlin being involved in the other cases then we may hear about it. But right now it is important that people investigating this keep their cards close to them. They cannot afford a mistrial due to much media coverage or someone (like his lawyers) claiming that this is turning into a witch hunt.

He would probably move. That would be easier. For all we know, he was telling people he was in Big Brothers or a foster parent, and Shawn would go back to his real family. Gosh I hate that guy.

The National Missing Children page on Missouri shows the Scott boy as being from St. Charles, MO. I looked on the map and it's a suburb of St. Louis. Very near Kirkwood as a matter of fact. Didn't Devlin grow up in the area?
