Right or wrong, mostly wrong IMO, the party of Gore, never change their direction on any of their idealist goals. On the other hand, the GOP seem to always trying to keep everyone happy (in the democRAT party), certainly not the people that have voted their sorry asses into office. If the GOP had half a set of balls, their would never lose their governmental power. Unfortunately, I don't foresee any possibility of their growing that set in the near future. And it's OUR LOSS. This country will fold from being a republic to a socialist country if the democRATs stay in power.

I agree with you - that's where I send my campaign contributions. Any other recipients have done nothing for conservatism or America.

Despite posturing by Republicans which shows (falsely) they support limiting illegal immigration, this is the one issue where the GOP and Conservatives part company. IMHO, it is also why they lost the midterm election.

I'm not on the "kick-'em-all-out" bandwagon and even I recognize this. The illegal immigration issue was a MAJOR reason why the GOP lost in 2006. But for our "elites", denial really is just a river in Egypt.

I agree - Republicans need a good shot of testosterone instead of acting like neutered wimps who are afraid to express and articulate a straightforward conservative position.

Havn't we all had enough of "girly politicians"?

The Republican Party will not get a peso from me. I will send money to Tancredo though.

Ditto

Please -- it is funny. Every candidate here that had the same thing said they were the only one doing it -- got the same recipe four times. Don't be so serious!

I think he should run for Senate and hope he wins.

Share that recipe!!
Tancredo / Hunter or Hunter /Tancrdeo either way works for America!!!
I was at a gathering to hear Rep. Tancredo a short time ago and found him to be a straight-shooter...not your typical PC politician...I'd like to get the chance to hear him and Rep. Hunter sometime soon.

Good VP running mate for Duncan Hunter?

Only if Hunter wants to help the Democrats win 1980 style Reagan victory. Running with a man who most of the country see as a racist (and rightfully so) is the quickest way to lose.

And here I only got an, "Able Danger was not mentioned in the 9/11 Commission" standard email reply on the subject by my Senator, Barak Hussein Obama!

I think so.

Tancredo is an intelligent, articulate conservative who took on the Mehlmens and Roves - the architects of the 2006 catastrophe and the flawed - "support illegal aliens and the Hispanic Americans will vote for you" philosophy of Carl Rove - one very insulting to Hispanic Americans.

"Running with a man who most of the country see as a racist (and rightfully so) is the quickest way to lose."

If this was true and it isn't, then most of the country would be stupid.

There are actually only a few Liberals that claim this and they are all quite stupid.

You're so right! There are many who are playing the race card when they can't support their position with facts or rational argumet. And - they're so insecure and threatened they deal the card from the bottom of the deck!

Speaking of Able Danger, it's another loss to us that Weldon went down in the last election.

Let me give you guys Tom's preface to the recipe.

" This was my mom's recipe for spaghetti sauce. She gave it to me to use as a hand-out for my first run for political office back in 1976. It was for the state legislature and was probably why I won! We still use it. It's a small way I can say thank you for your support. Bon appetite, Tom"

A Tancredo Family Recipe for Spaghetti Sauce:

Browned meat
1 - 12 oz. can tomato paste
(diluted with 36 oz. water)
(meatballs, Italian sausage, stew, pork)
1 Onion, diced
1 tsp Oregano
1 Garlic Clove, diced
1 tsp Sweet Basil
1 - 15 oz. can Tomato Sauce
Salt and Pepper

In the drippings from the meat you have browned, fry onion and garlic slowly. Add tomato sauce and diluted tomato paste. Stir in oregano, basil and salt and pepper to taste. Add browned meat. Simmer 4 hours adding water when necessary.

Now this IS Italian!

I can only reiterate what Tom said -- "bon appetite!" I know in this age of the instant fix you'll think this takes too long to prepare. WRONG! It's more than worth the time and it restores the lost art of genuine, delicious home cooking.

(meatballs, Italian sausage, stew, pork)

I need to make stew to add to the sauce? Make meatballs? Or are these just options to substitute for the meat?
