Golden Pancakes

  Special Edition

We never run out of Pancakes in the Canteen.

Knot lyke thy othyrs.

Wednesday, January 10, 2007

Here is an amalgamation of trivial facts and
seemingly useless data.

Do not forget to hit the hyperlinks.

We have links, lots of them.

From the Radixionary

Epitrochoid

Geometry: a plane curve generated by the motion of a fixed point on the radius or extension of the radius of a circle that rolls externally, without slipping, on a fixed circle. The epitrochoid is a generalization of the epicycloid.

Today's Pancakes Wednesday field trip will take us to Africa, London,  Texas, and a Geometry class.

Happy Birthday

George Foreman

Yes my grills can make Pancakes on Wenesdays.

"Boxing is like jazz. The better it is, the less people appreciate it."

The 1974 "Rumble in the Jungle" between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman is probably the most famous and most depicted of all heavyweight title bouts ever. One reason for this fascination might be that it was one of the most dramatic heavyweight bouts of all times.

The features of the two opponents couldn’t have been more different :

On the one side the patriotic Foreman who had waved the Star Spangled Banner after winning an Olympic Gold Medal in 1968. On the other side the inconvenient black hero Ali, who had enraged the White establishment with his claim for conscientious objector status and his conversion to Islam.

Honey on Pancakes does not sting like a Bee.

Happy Birthday

Rod Stewart

Pancakes are so beautiful, to me.....

"You are so beautiful to me."

Singer, songwriter. Born Roderick David Stewart on January 10, 1945, in London, England.

Once rock & roll's best interpretive singer as well as an accomplished songwriter, creating a raw combination of folk, rock, blues, and country that sounded like no other folk-rock or country-rock.

And in typical Pancakes on Wednesday form we  now segue into this obscurely related fact and feature.

How about a few Epitrochoids with your Pancakes?

Would you like a bit of Maple Syrup with your Epitrochoids?

Epitrochoids, are mathematical Pancakes

I am an excellent driver

Pancakes are not just for breakfast anymore.

You can never find a Pancake when you need one.

On this Day

1776 Thomas Paine published "Common Sense"

Pancakes just make sense.

Published in 1776, Common Sense challenged the authority of the British government and the royal monarchy. The plain language that Paine used spoke to the common people of America and was the first work to openly ask for independence from Great Britain.

Would you like some "Texas Tea" with your Pancakes?

On this Day

1901 Oil discovered in Beaumont, Texas

Would you like some Texas tea with your pancakes?

On this Day

1969 The Saturday Evening Post ceased publication

How about some nice Saturday Evening Pancakes?

Don't forget the Maple Syrup.

Military Pancakes, they're awful good.

Definitely
