On Fox News now. The Texas Flag in front of the high school is flying below the US flag on a single flag pole. Can't they afford a second pole so the Texas flag can fly next to the US flag - where it is supposed to be?
I think the distinction is that you were the only state that was granted the unconditional right to withdraw as part of your entrance.
Although I believe that is no longer in effect.
Another Texas-related legend holds that the Texans negotiated an annexation treaty which reserved to them the right to secede from the Union without the consent of the U.S. Congress, but the terms of Texas' annexation contain no such provision.
Everything is bigger in Texas, even the tall tales....
No, Because texas was once its own republic it is the only flag that can fly at the same level as the US
Hawaii's on the white courtesy phone for you.
LOL...you're bad.
Hawai'i.
Hawai'i.
Actually her parents were divorced years ago... ergo Natalie Holloway and her mother Beth Twitty.
Regardless the strain for the last year and a half would be tough on any marriage!!!
There's a church down the street from work here that flies the Mexican flag on the same pole below the American flag; I've always wondered about that protocol.
Flying the flag of one nation over that of another is prohibited in time of peace. In time of war it is done to show that you have captured an enemy ship or installation.
Now considering they are probably flying it as a sign of ethnic pride you can have some fun. Simply call them up and ask that they stop insulting Mexico.
Exactly -- The Twitty's were not Natalies parents -- MR Twitty was her step-dad -- her parents were divorced long ago and both parents remarried... the headline said Natalie's parents divorced...not Natalie's step-dad and mother divorce.
