On the occasion of the death of President Gerald Ford, anti-American activist Cindy Sheehan released a statement today blaming Ford for the war in Iraq and the "deaths of over 3000 American soldiers" in the conflict.
Sheehan, whose son Army Spc. Casey Sheehan was killed in Iraq in 2004, wrote about Ford on BuzzFlash.com, a leftist website.
Sheehan has become the face of the antiwar movement since she started stalking President Bush at his Crawford, Texas ranch in August, 2005. She is currently in Crawford, as is President Bush.
After writing the obligatory condolences on his passing, Sheehan ripped in to Ford:
Usually, burying a 93 year old loved one is sorrowful but, I believe his pardon of Richard Nixon is one of the factors that have led to the untimely deaths of over 3000 American soldiers and hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians in the Middle East. Just this month alone, 91 of our young people have met early, avoidable, unnecessary and tragic deaths in Bloody George's horrific war. In a month when most people picked out Christmas trees and had joy-filled celebrations in the season of lights, 91 of our nation's families went shopping for burial plots or urns and their holidays will never be the same again.
One of the talking heads on one of the cable news shows (does it matter which?) said that it was a "great thing for America" that Gerald Ford pardoned the crooked war criminal, Richard Nixon. He said that we don't make public spectacles out of trying our presidents in criminal courts. After all, we are not a "banana republic."
No, the United States of America is not a "banana republic" Mr. Talking Head, but since Nixon got away with his blatant crimes and every President since Nixon has skated away from office after having committed overt and covert crimes, we have on our hands, here, a situation that I am forced now to call: "Bloody George."
Bloody George struts around in a cloud of denial with his fake cowboy swagger, breaking our nation's laws and international laws as if he were immune from life's woes and above any law. What Mr. Talking Head was pointing out to us in his ridiculous commentary was that presidents are above the law that they swear to uphold. Presidents of other countries who are found guilty of murdering 148 people are not apparently above the law -- Bloody George plays banana republic justice in other countries while countenancing none of the same here in the U.S. of A.
Cindy Sheehan has long since passed in to buffoon status, but her dogged stalking of President Bush and her alliance with terrorist supporting leftists here in America and around the world makes her worth keeping an eye on. That and her fantasies of killing President Bush.
LBJ was a corrupt crook too. He blackmailed the press (permitting a bank merger to go through in exchange for a signed letter from the Houston Chronicle promising only positive coverage).
His tapes revealed a lot about the workings of his White House.
Wonder what's on JFK's tapes.
See post #19. Scary.
Wow, talk about someone whose spring is wound too tight!! Gerald Ford was probably one of the most benign and likeable presidents in recent years.. To try to shift blame to him for the Iraq War is . . . . . . . NUTS!!!!!
Cindy, honey, don't tighten your curlers so much, they've damaged your "brain"!!!
She's talking about Saddam. Of course, Saddam killed a lot more than 148, but this is the one charge out of many they decided to nail him on.
Cindy, Honey Babe, you are not fit to go under President Ford's coffin.
I dunno, that kinda looks like Clay Aiken.
Actually, the word pales when applied to her; words just cannot describe the disdain people feel for her.
She is quite despicable.
Can't resist the little buggers though can you? :^)
She never misses an opportunity to spew her hatred.
Ditto
I did after I posted. You called it!
Can anyone please tell the delusional Mother Sheehan that it was LBJ, the Über liberal, who started the war in Vietnam ?
She is the unrestrained face of the democrat party. Just saying aloud what the far left would like to say.
Her fixation with the "war-criminal Richard Nixon" demonstrates her arrested development. She's still living her Woodstock days.
Sheehan is an embarrassing self-parody. An ugly troll. Thanks for the post.
In truth....NONE.
Looks like she's in the running with Slick Willie for the "Look At Me, I'm A Loser" award for 2006. (Lots of competition on the left this year, LOL!)
You know his MO. He's "The Bride at every Wedding, the Corpse at every Funeral."
