My bottle of Shiraz is called "The Gate". How ironic.

Wonder what is on the other side of the gate?

Only saddam will know for sure.

No it was not intentional. Most of my best jokes are that way too. Everyone around me is cracking up, and I have to have someone explain it to me.

Did you ever hear a croker? It is a kind of fish. It makes a sound when you catch it and keep it out of the water.

Do you know what the croker is trying to say?

Take me to your leader. Get it... leader. (ha ha)

"I hope his neck doesn't break"
Not to worry; they've already stipulated the hoist him up method and not the drop methods.

I thought the Pershings were all dismantled... too bad. It seems Pershing's tactics were dismantled also..

The 1911 is making a comeback in SOCOM, Ranger, and USMC units. The Marines bought Kimber 1911s, I believe. The Army was moving to replace the M9, but ran into internal politics of congressional lobbyists and bureaucracy.

Soldiers are not happy with the lack of stopping power of the 9mm Ball ammo. Unfortunately, the M9 is the weapon I will deploy with in 2 weeks.....

On a side note, even stating that the 9mm ball ammo is crap, I still own a 92FS pistol. My petite wife uses it and loads it with hollow-points. It paraphrase "Dr. No" when Bond gets his new pistol, "This is a nice weight (of the gun) for a ladie's purse."

I might do that to, if I can find a blank firing adapter and some blank ammunition in time. Problem is, an SKS sounds more or less like an AK, and all my neighbors are soldiers, many with at least one tour in the Sandbox. Might not be healthy.

Invite them to join you. You might find out they have some neat toys of their own to bring to the party!

Fitting symbolism. I hope it was intentional...(If not, look at a world atlas for the location of Shiraz)

I know what city you're thinking of, but it turns out that Shiraz wines are from Australia.

"Still, it's hard to revel in anyones death."

Nonsense! Some folks do not deserve to live. The world's decent people world should rejoice. If we can find someone to cast the first stone, I would do the rest.

Curtis has shown that he's not quite 'with it' at a number of levels. I didn't even respond to a third of his silly comments to me..........no point.

I'm wondering if he's even out of high school.

(He wants to text message me so he can argue his point. LOL!)

"Perhaps not, if it's loaded with blanks. Gas operated weapons require a blank firing adapter, as well as blanks. BFAs are available for AR-15/M-16, SKS, and AK-47 and clones thereof. Others too I'm sure."

You are one creepy dude.

I was just reading about BFA's yesterday morning. I had never heard of them before, I've only shot live rounds.

I'd love to get a BFA that works in 7.62 Kalishnikov clones.

Maybe Ol' Saddam could help the Iraqi People ring in the new year. They could drop him like the ball in Times Square at the stroke of midnight on the 1st.

Then I'll contact you.

Sa-damned needs to swing. Best thing really.

Good is good, and bad should - and will - be punished.

This is a rather large world, and your view is rather stunted.

Grow.

I would certainly like to see that! Mussolini went to pieces over that, I'm sure.

the dirty rotten bastard Saddam Hussein , who could have prevented the entire set of events in his country if he hadn't been such a boneheaded lying Arab tyrant , this cretin should have been shot to death in the lousy hole they found him in and we would have been saved from all his fetid rhetoric

I certainly hope so. But there's that old saw about the possibility of slips between the cup and the lip.

I carried a 1911A1 for quite a few years. Good piece. The 45ACP is a good round, great knockdown power, but not real accurate over more than 20yds or so. Reliable, but magazine capacity is small, and the older model springs tend to take a "set" if kept fully loaded which can lead to chambering problems. Still have mine ( older Colt ) as my bedside gun.

Don't know what the rules are these days, but when I was in we could carry personal weapons/ammo in addition to issued T.O.

You're a liar as well as socially retarded.

Excuse me, child, but I haven't lied about a thing, and your posts (at least the ones that weren't ugly enough to be deleted by the Mods) are still here to prove it.

I do think it funny that you call me 'a liar and socially retarded' and then tell me I'm not allowed to respond to your dopey insults.

That isn't the way things work around here. Even though you're young, a liberal, and a newbie, you should at least understand that much.

You're not making a very good impression here in your early weeks on this political discussion board, dear. Free Republic is a forum for conservatives, and most of us are intelligent adults.

Maybe you should stick with teeny-bopper blogs where you fit right in.

If you want to text this out bring it.

Here's the boy's quote (it's the most decent thing he said in any of his posts to me).

I think it's funny.

Kinda like, 'ya wanna step outside where we can text message each other?' LOL!
