President Bush held a news conference this morning in the Indian Treaty Room at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building in Washington, D.C. Click HERE for a complete transcript.

Later, the president signed The Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006, “a bill that will extend tax relief to millions of American families and small businesses and add momentum to a growing economy”. Click HERE for a complete transcript of the president’s remarks.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met with Andrew Natsios, U.S. special envoy to Sudan and Darfur, at the State Department.

And Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, along with Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman, General Peter Pace made a surprise visit to Baghdad where they met with troops and commanders to discuss future options in Iraq.

snugs -

Not only will I be alone, but I will be in some stranger's condo while I wait for the movers to show up (this could take days). Sniff, sniff. Self-pity, self-pity.

I am a real softie for those Thomas Kincaide paintings of old-fashioned Christmases. I don't care if they're not great art. Or, anything looking like an ideal, probably unobtainable, Christmas image w/snow and a lit tree.

Thank you! I have stored them in my e-mail file! LOL! I didn't know at the time that people were putting them on their home page!

Thank you, sweet O ... I pray so. I just know I'll be snoozing the whole way, 'cause I'll be up all night .. O - sew-lo-mio finishing this jacket for my Mom.. and the dang laundry.

As soon as I'm seated and buckled in, I put the pillow and blankets on the window, snuggle in, and I'm out like a light. The purring of the engines puts me right out .. and, of course, sleep deprivation .. LOL. Most extreme, was one trip where I slept thru the takeoff AND the landing. I woke up to "M'am .. m'am .. we've landed" and the plane was empty, except for me and the crew. Hahahaha .. that was priceless.

LOL --- you're blessed to be able to sleep so soundly on airplanes. I am almost a wreck the whole time. Since 9/11, I watch e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g.

ugh is right.

Gosh you would think that Pres. Bush is a rapist and womanizer the way he is spoken about over there..and of course Jeb is just SUFFERING so because of his dastardly brother....sigh

Brother Jeb will be just fine, thank you very much---I am sure he will make major money on the speaking circuit if he chooses.

Maybe Pres. Bush should nominate him for UN Ambassador in place of John Bolton...

As several have pointed out, it is small. Perhaps he wanted to limit the number of mediots he had to deal with today. ;*)

LOL, you could be right :)

I don't think I could've made it through the 2004 election without FR. I was going insane. The Dose, especially. I wasn't in school that fall and having to deal with my liberal parents every day was really awful. The Dose kept me sane :)

YES! That adds up to 3 pieces for me tonight! YUM. To be perfectly candid... I think I could eat half the cake tonight and still want more.
