I am in the process of reading Nelson DeMille's Wildfire. The scenario is about a plan to set off suitcase nukes in selected US cities and falsely blaming Muslem terrorists to use that as an excuse for essentially wiping the vast majority of Muslims and their institutions off the face of the earth. It's beginning to sound prophetic except for the false blame of the Muslims.

Even if the nutcase Ahmadinejhad (sp?) is successful at "wiping" out any of these three countries, there's enough submarine and other nuke capability to lay waste to the entire Middle East. If we are not careful in what we do, a cataclysmic event may occur where there are no winners, but everyone becomes a loser, and the result will be similar to what might occur in an extremely fast-acting ice age.

Of Course he wants war. I believe he's trying to provoke Israel into an attack. I also believe he already has a nuke or two. He may not have the capability of building his own yet but there are other ways of acquiring nukes. Because most of the youth in Iran don't support their psycho president, his party or his beliefs. Ahmadineajd's support comes from the older more conservative crowd, much like Milosevic's in Yugoslavia before he and his government were overthrown. There may not be revolution anytime soon in Iran, but you may see a moderate, less threatening Tehran if this scumbag and the rest of his party are voted out of office. Step one were the local and regional elections this past weekend in which Ahmadineajd's party was trounced.
