Because the GOP, and America, need Rudy now.
More than ever.

I saw long ago that she was the best at showing us who Rudy is.
:)
Thanks for the alert. Though they hate to admit it, Rudy has more support than any other single candidate on this forum.
I will take him over any of the democrats too but we need to regain control in the house and senate too.
Why don't we try to change his mind on the 2A? There are a lot of things I like about him, but like you, he will never get my vote or support unless he does a one-eighty on the 2A.
Is there an FR poll that reflects that?
If I want to hear B.S, I'll go shop for a used car!
It's not just that issue, but a slew of others. It reaches the point where the candidate themself is simply too far afield from the base on their core beliefs. Another issue that needs to be raised on him is personal judgment, he almost caused a national scandal with his choice for Homeland Security Secretary, Bernard Kerik.
Ummm...
You must have missed the Free Republic poll.

He doesn't even get a majority when it's only the moderate candidates being polled at Free Republic, just a plurality against a relative unknown.

You will not be President with any help from me.
Ya, there was. I wrote it, and Jim put it up. There needs to be a new one with Duncan Hunter on, but I still think Rudy will pull a third of the FR vote. Last time he got close to 40%, with Romney, McCain and sit it out the alternatives. I asked Jim yesterday to put up another, but no dice.
These were the 2 polls regarding Rudy:

Giuliani is opposed by the majority of FReepers as a stand-alone, but favored by a plurality against McCain and Romney (I voted "sit it out" with those choices). Think of him as the "best of the worst", but no ringing endorsement by any stretch.
Sorry, another conservative voter here.
For a conservative Catholic such as myself, voting for a pro-abortion such as Rudy is a sin. No getting around that.
I will vote third party or stay home before I vote for Guiliani in 2008.
Ya, Rudy gets close to 45% in the for and against poll. No other one candidate would get near that much.

Beyond his liberal beliefs, Giuliani also has poor personal morals. Cheated on two wives, etc. Associates with cronies such as Kerik.
I suspect that there are many conservative-leaning Americans that will vote for a liberal family man (Obama) before they vote for a liberal adulterer (Giuliani.) Just a thought.

Thansk for the link. I just signed up as a volunteer!
You are simply incorrect.
Even against Romney and Mccain, Rudy can't break 45% with the GOP base.
Any actual Conservative would beat that number here.
The three marriages thing definitely will be a serious liability. Remember how Dole got hammered for being divorced by Clinton !
