Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told an audience in New Hampshire Muslim clerics pulled off a plane for praying should have been charged criminally.
Gingrich made the remark Friday night, as he delivered the keynote speech at the Manchester Republican City Committee Christmas dinner, the Manchester (N.H.) Union Leader reported.
"Those six people should have been arrested and prosecuted for pretending to be terrorists," Gingrich said. "And the crew of the U.S. airplane should have been invited to the White House and congratulated for being correct in the protection of citizens."
The imams, who had been attending a conference in Minneapolis, were pulled off a US Air flight to Phoenix after other passengers said they had been acting suspicious. They were questioned by the FBI for several hours and then released.
Their suspicious behavior apparently consisted of reports that they had prayed in Arabic and that they were not sitting together but had walked around to talk to each other.

The kooky attorney for the imams was on FOX the other day ranting that their behaviors on the plane were not suspicious and that the actions taken were simply racist profiling trying to take away their right to free speech. I wonder how he would feel about gun carrying people(with permits, nat) circling mosques and chanting allah is satan.
No, they did it to be provocative or do you have a better explanation for the seat belt extenders and 9/11 seat distribution (including going to first class without authorisation?

After Russert, Chris Matthews comes on and everybody is falling all over themselves in admiration for the remarkable Barak Obama. What is his secret? He is soooo good looking. He's so articulate for a black man. What are the Clintons going to do to slow him down? Will Hillary tap him as her V.P.? I wanted to puke. Why hasn't anyone asked why his lips are purple? Or is it my TV?
And there's the difference. The liberals are infatuated with the black man and wondering how it's going to impact Hillary. And Newt, the conservative, is discussing the most important world issues with NBC's White House Chief.
No doubt who I want for my next President. The greatest communicator since Ronald Reagan.

So a woman breast feeding, shielded on one side by her husband and on the other by the window, visible to no one but the flight attendant (with effort) is, in your eyes, equally as threatening to your equilibrium as the six loud, mobile imams asking for unnecessary seat belt extenders and calling attention to themselves with all sorts of actions that flying Moslems do not find necessary on other flights.

We might have to change that old saw that freedom of speech doesn't allow you to cry fire in a crowded movie theater to; "Freedom of speech doesn't alow you to cry "Allah" on a crowded airplane". - tom

What are you talking about? If the flight attendant saw her, so could anyone else walking by. She was politely asked to cover up. She refused and got snotty. She got kicked off, and rightfully so.
Not only was she selfish and rude, she was insolent.
You clearly have an issue with this, but I'll take mursing moms (legal, even if snotty, which no one besides you has claimed) over terroristic behavior (illegal) any day.
Besides, I think nursing moms look cute. But, then, I'm an adult.
