I received a FRmail tonight from Freeper kayak regarding a health issue that her doctors have discovered. Some of you, apparently, are already aware of this. I DO have her permission to put this thread up. She will not be on here to respond as she's still working and will be starting treatments.

Anyway, from kayak....Several weeks ago as part of my routine annual physical I had a chest x-ray. When it came back showing some suspicious shadows, the doc ordered a CT scan which also showed the shadows. So last week I had a bronchoscopy and got the results on Monday.

I have lung cancer. The good news is that of the 2 kinds I have the least aggressive kind and it can usually be removed surgically. The bad news is that because of the location of the cancer it can't be gotten to surgically without doing damage to parts I need.

So I'm facing a regimen of chemo and radiation probably. Monday I have an appointment with an oncologist to begin planning how we're going to attack this thing.

Please PLEASE pray for kayak!!!

Dear Lord God, our hearts are heavy tonight with this news from kayak. She is a dear lady who loves you with all of her heart. Thank you for giving her so VERY many prayer warriors, thank you for giving her a WONDERFUL husband who has been nothing but 100% supportive of her.

Lord, I pray for a "Logan Miracle". Lord, please heal her body. Please guide the medical personnel who will be helping her through this. Please give her YOUR peace. Peace that passes all understanding.

Dear kayak,

I have a special place in my heart for those with your disease, which has touched our family, and know many who have beaten it. It's not the small cell kind, and is treatable. You're not a statistic, and God will help you and even bless you through the hardest times.

There are some even here on FR who are skilled in diet and herbal treatment when things settle down a little for you and you feel better.

We are certainly praying for you, your husband, and your Doctors. It's God Who is the Chief Surgeon able to heal body and soul.

Our Dear Kay and Mr. Kayak,

deep in the night, I am praying for you. God is God, and we are His children. Oh Father, You see Kay, whom You love. You also know her husband, this man whom you have sent to walk this difficult journey with Kay. Heal her, Father, and fill them both with the knowledge of Your love for them.

You are God. You are able. Open our eyes, that we may see Your Hand holding us.

We lift Kay up to You, and we ask that you guide the hands of her surgeons, and that they remove every particle of this tumor. Give knowledge to everyone involved in her medical care throughout every day of her recovery. Grant complete healing to her body. Thank You that there is a procedure of surgery to remove this cancerous tumor from kayak's brain. Please be with her, guide the hand of every physician and nurse and specialist and aneshisologist that all will be well. Keep kayak and kayak's husband in Peace which is beyond understanding.
