I am requesting FReeper friends to pray for me as I undergo cancer surgery on Tuesday, 11-28-06. In August during a colonoscopy a cancerous blockage was discovered in my colon. It was determined that the cancer was adhering to my bladder and that it had also spread to my liver. I was given a colostomy at that time. I underwent 5 1/2 weeks of chemo and radiation treatment in Sandusky, OH to shrink the tumor.
After that, I was referred to a new set of surgeons in Cleveland and they are now ready to do their thing. Please pray for the skill of my colon, liver and bladder surgeons.

I just went through what seems in comparison to be a minor surgery re: skin cancer and know the fears and ran out and got the colonoscopy my doctor had been urging for six years. You're in my prayers and may the Lord give you serenity and rapid healing.
Prayers first. Then some advice: Get periodic bone scans. When my father's methastasis was discovered it was too late. Not saying that you'll get that, but it is better to detect early, as you now know.
