Thanks for your cooperation.
You can do a keyword search on "Undead Thread." Also try "MolassesMiasma" and "PenguinHumor"; those are my secret keywords :-). Or "Monkeyfacerules".
May this year bring you happy dreams and may you live them upon awakening.
That's already happening... stay tuned! :)
I hope the same for you! :)
Sionnsar usually finds a ZOT! thread that we can pave and repave until the troll is REALLY dead. We took one to the Wall, then went to 33,000+ and things bogged down so badly we decided to move once a month or every 10,000 posts.
It's good to have you here!!!
I think I have your shower curtain. I opened a box and found one with frogs on it.
But I'm still missing my vacuum cleaner bags, and I really need them!
Time to get Vlad to bed - last day of his first calendar year, the little toothy fellow!
If I don't make it back before morning, Happy New Year to my favorite people in the world (excepting my immediate family, and sometimes not excepting anyone but the baby :-).
Not all countries change at the same time. In fact I think the US is changing (again) next year.
It was real fun when I was trying to track New Zealand time relative to mine. They changed at different times, and in different directions, so there were 4 time offsets (and/or when they occurred) I had to remember.
My big vacuum is bagless, but the belts wear out often. I don't think Bill puts them on correctly.
Hang the shower curtain wherever it's needed most. Try NicknamedBob's bath!
Happy New Year, TC! (And Vlad!)
I'm not far behind you. I'm getting pretty tired, and that's not a good sign.
See ya next year or tomorrow, whichever comes first!
How is your son?
Thank you. It's been waaay too long since I posted on the UT. Things were so hectic with job changes and such that FR kind of fell by the wayside.
The little guy is doing awesome. He's in the first grade now and is going beyond all our expectations. He's reading at least three grade levels above what normal, and his memory is phenomenal. Social skills are slowly coming along, but that's normal for any 6-yr old.
I'll never forget what his pediatric neurologist told me after an examination for possible hydrocephalus (he didn't have it). The doc said my son may never be a rocket scientist, but he'll be okay physically. He's wrong already; this boy is sharp. He asked why the flags were down so low this week, and I explained that a man who was once president had died. He started asking me why President Ford died and for what other reasons people die. That's heavy stuff for a little boy.
During the week my son pointed out every time a flag was flying low and sometimes asked if another president died. He wasn't too clear on the concept at first, but at least he is asking about tough subjects like death.
Now I'm just waiting for that OTHER subject to come up ("Daddy, where do babies come from?").
Happy New Year, sionnsar! Don't confuse us too much in the move!
Tell him babies come from God. It's true, if not comprehensive!
He sounds like a great boy. My 5-year-old (as of Dec. 22) can read, but he also thinks he's invisible, so it's a dubious situation.
Around here we call it Seattlite White, and we're proud of it.
Only takes a moment of inadvertent exposure to Evil Yellow Fac... er, the sun, that is... to ruin it for a long time.
I'll make you my prayer project for tonight, when Vlad wakes up to gripe about his teeth and stuffy nose. You'll feel better tomorrrow!
I have belts...but no bags. Where's Bill when I need him?
Where'd you find the Linux penguins?
Sionnsar rents us a nice moving van, (although it would probably be more cost effective to buy one) and picks out a nice thread.
Face packs up the stuff up, she is the expert packer, and Irish and I stowaway in the suitcase that she packed the cookies in.
And then there is a big "Whosh!" and we are gone.
How we got to this thread (the point of infection).
