I know, I used to work in Israel. Its a domino effect. When one of the lads has to be diverted to the tasks she would have done there is a consequence in the field.

When te KNP Riot Police roll up they do so in a specially modified bus...IIRC one 33 man platoon per bus. The windows are all covered with metal grills. The guys I'd see in formation did not carry sidearms, just their shields, riot batons (and usually every third or fourth guy in formation had a fire extinguisher strapped to his back). I do know they have a couple riot shotguns normally kept on the bus, but I think they try to resist putting weapons out on the street lest one fall into the wrong hands in an open melee.

They regularly do (or at least did while I was there from 95-98) employ CS gas and had some drum fed, automatic grenade dispersers that were the balls....

No choice, she had to serve. IOW, she was drafted. Only married females are exempt. (And Muslims, who may not serve, and Druze, who may volunteer, many do.)
