I just received a private e-mail from someone I know from a Marine website who has family in Iraq. There has been a weapons cache explosion that caused many, hundreds of people to be exposed to some chemical that was present in the weapons.
not funny
anyone know og an iraqi english language new site?
We've all tried to tell people and I am rather surprised the military didn't insist that the military take precautions despite the left's mantra there were no WMD in Iraq.
Evidently we couldn't find Chem/Bio WMD in Iraq despite everyone looking for it....but we can blow the stuff up without even trying??
I can't pardon you. Attitudes resembling an ostrich with his head in the sand are getting our young, best and brightest killed in Iraq. It takes a ground truth to be able to plan the road ahead. Living in denial provides a false ground truth that foreshadows more of the same
anyone ping Allegra?
Sorry. Okay, I will go. Please let me know the final result when you know.
Anyone heard from her lately?
What Iraq needs more then anything else is for the Pentagon to get its head out of its butt and really start equipping the Iraqi Army and police. The Madhi Army is better equipped then the Iraqi Army today.
So... who's responsible for the BUSHLIED keyword up above? Too bad sarcasm tags don't show up in keywords, but can retreads & infiltrators post keywords without being signed in?
Are you series? The last thing the MSM would want it to admit that there were/are WMD because then they would HAVE TO admit that Bush was right. They'd rather cut out their tongues than do that.
She seemed really upset with all the posts griping after election. Maybe she feels we let her down.
Still nothing in the MSM. If it is Sarin or VX the Pentagon already knows... They will have to give something to the media soonn.
Just a small part of it First and foremost there has to be a resemblance of security for the Iraqi people to build off of. Second, the Iraq forces must be trained before arming otherwise you are just arming the insurgents / terrorists.
We could have done this right but we let the golden hour (the vacuum created by regime change in 2003) escape us. Whenever a vacuum in these types of operations is created someone will fill it. Unfortunately we were not prepared or willing to fill that vacuum.

Sorry, but I am completely sick of excuses when good Iraqi soldiers and police aren't getting paid, are being forced to share AK 47s, and are riding around in pickups. While the Madhi Army gets three times the money and much better weapons from Iran.
Once again, nonsense. Calling the very people out who unjustly undermined public support for the war is -- I say again -- CRUCIAL to said effort. They cannot be trusted to prosecute the war because they are constantly looking over their shoulder for an exit sign (that doesn't exist) with their other eye looking for any excuse to run to said nonexistent exit. What spare time they have left from that is spent trying to ram the square peg of this war into the round hole of Vietnam. ZERO time is spent seriously thinking about how to win -- only about how to quit, lose and make it sort of look like we kinda-sorta won so France will like us again.
They want to quit, they want to discredit not only politicians and other civilians sounding the alarm about Al Qaeda & Co. but to discredit and embarrass the US military itself, erode American power and influence and further empower the UN, and they want to convince the public that we are in a war of Bush's own choosing for oil that we can quit at any time without consequence -- and NOT a fight to the death with Islamo-fascism.
THEY MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE so they can't continue to lead swing voters down the primrose path of appeasement and get more appeasers elected. Failure to confront them on all this is not an option -- if we can't win the PR war here on the home front, we cannot win the war. And if we cannot win this war, we are doomed as a nation. And we cannot win the PR war by helping the Democrats sweep their myopia, naivety and stupidity under the rug. Until the Democratic Party makes an astronomical change in its thinking about this war and the use of force in general, it is a death-wish to leave them at the helm.
