If you want any kind of "guest worker" program, it'll have to be Kyl/Cornyn in order to get it to pass. Arizonan's have NO problem with LEGAL immigration, as a matter of fact they are welcomed here. It's the illegals that are swamping the system. We also don't like law breakers because they have no problem with breaking OTHER laws, like having insurance when they drive cars, or paying for their doctor bills, or not taking what they want from those who worked hard for it.

We just have to accept the fact that since values voters are part of our base, pubbies will pay a higher price for scandal than dems. The solution is for our officials to keep their pants zipped up and hands out of other peoples pockets.

Wow, that's facinating.

A Mexican who's crime is wanting a job is the moral equivilant of killing a defenseless child.

Excuse me while I puke.

If you believe this, you are a disgrace to the pro-life movement.

Please tell me how posting past election results is "altering" a title.

Sheesh someone hit the bong early today?

What was the immigration position of his opponent in 2006?

Was he pro or anti illegal immigration?

Was he for or against amnesty?

Your ability to see whats not in evidence is breathtaking.

Try a remedial reading course at your local JC.

Hayworth was Tancredo hardline. He even voted against HR 4437 because he said it wasn't tough enough.

BTW, 18 americans are killed by illegal aliens every day. I guess you're alright with that.

See how easy playing that game is?

You screwed up the period after the "D" too. Speaking of screwed up D's, sorry the Steelers will be sitting at home watching the Jets in the playoffs this year.

If that's true, why are all the Tancredo folks out there shouting that it's because wern't harsh enough on immigration that we lost?

I don't know why pundits think the way they do, but the fact is that immigration before recent years just didn't turn people out to vote one way or the other. When people were asked why they voted a certain way, they almost invariably replied either Iraq, security, the economy, or moral issues.

Your point is?

You missed it, alright.

Its easy to lay the blame for last week's loss at the feet of someone who's issue you don't feel is important as your's, but the argument you make against them might be applied to your own favorite issue.

This is why political parties have won in the past on PLATFORMS. Its a package deal. Throw out one issue and you can throw them all out.

Show me a political party who's members agree on every issue, and I'll show you a political party who has one member and zero power.

Theres that reading comprehension problem again. Where did I say we need to agree? I'd settle for refraining from actively undermining the other republican's issue. How about that?

AZ-8 voted as presently constituted voted 53-47 Bush in 2004, and 49-47 (4 for Nader) Bush in 2000. It is a marginal district, not a liberal one.

It's a liberal district that occasionally breaks moderate.
