I would gladly support Newt.
I 'll even help the candidacy out however I can - unless Rudy is sitting on top, in which case I will vote for whoever is his closest competition.

The underlying premise is that those who seek power will be turned aside in favor of someone who seeks to lead a nation.

Not to worry; the social conservatives will torpedo any run for the Presidency.

I love Newt! The man has bonafide ideas, can implement them, has knowledge of the past so as not to repeat the past's mistakes in the future, and can capitalize on that which works---all for the betterment of America, IMHO. Oh, and he can hold his own and speak well, on TV.
There's more, but that's my list of positives for now.

He suggested that the current lack of effective leadership in both parties is the result of negative campaigns that appeal to the lowest common denominator.Little men with ambitious appetities but without vision, and with no way to appeal to any common Americans. Which is more elitist the Democrat or Republican Party? It might be a tie.

It is clear that Gingrich believes he is such a man, as do I. Hes not running for anything, but it seems that he is waiting for his country to call.************
I'm not sure Gannon did Gingrich any favours by writing the above.

Dunno about a presidential run; too much attackable personal baggage.
BUT.... would sure like to see him within the RNC management.

Newt's probably the best spoken defender of conservatism in the country today. His voice is desperately needed.
I'd vote for him, if I could be convinced that he's gotten over his gullibility with Dems and the media.

UNELECTABLE! The GOP needs fresh faces and new blood for 2008, not has-been politicos from the past who have enough skeletons in their closets to fill a graveyard. Newt is NOT the savior of the GOP, and if he runs in 2008, Hillary will trounce him. It's that simple, folks!
