Bush's plan is to pass the amnesty bill. He will stop at nothing to do this. MArtinez is 100% pro-amnesty.
JD Hayworth does not fit into this plan.

The acu must have leftist infiltrators, too. Mel is for big govt. illegal amnesty costing billions in our hard earned dollars. He's also opposed to drilling.

Well... jeez... why not just give the job to Specter or Chaffee if you really want to purge the last remaining Conservatives from the GOP?
What utter lunacy is this?

Sent my Senator Mel an email during the immigration debate.
Obviously sent back a canned reply. My email detailed my issues, His email used the talking points of the MSM.
And we also have 'Lost in Space" Nelson, some representative government, a bootlicker, and an idiot ( assign appropriate name to appropriate candidate

I think I was wrong about elected officials. In our State the elected officials sit on the State Committee but the following says who is on the National Committee:
Organization of the
Republican National Committee
The Republican National Committee shall have the general management of the Republican Party, subject to direction from the national convention. The members of the Republican National Committee shall consist of one (1) national committeeman and one (1) national committeewoman from, and the chairman of the state Republican Party of, each state. For the purposes of this rule and all other rules, the definition of state or states shall be that as defined in Rule No. 26.

I think he is a pro-amnesty moderate with an Hispanic surname. He's the guy the Bushes pushed for the Senatorial seat Harris originally wanted and then backed off of.
If its true, I'm NOT happy.
If the Republican Party leadership interprets what happened on election day as an endorsement of liberalism, they missed the message and will loose their conservative base along with a good number of indepedent Americans

To: zbigreddogz

Okay, who do I start emailing to express my "displeasure"?E-mail your local elections board. Request a registration card and re-register as anything but a Republican.
Seriously.
And tell your friends.
If they see enough people doing that, they'll likely figure it out.

This is ridiculous. Is the GOP trying to self-destruct?
To: zbigreddogz
According to our news today, they still have 185,000 votes to count.
To: zbigreddogz
he has zero charisma, doesn't speak well.

I thought it was these "pure conservatives" that were going to teach the party the lesson... seems the education is going both ways.

Good old Mel who voted against English as our language.
He wants Spanish!
To: VRWCTexan
If the Republicans move LEFT in 2008, i.e. Giuliani or McCain, its time.
Its time for conservatives to LEAVE the Republican Party en masse and see how many votes they can get by being Democrat Light.

If the party is going to get re-energized, it is going to need a strong leader to win the nomination (not any of the current front runners). That person is going to very quickly have to take charge and the first order of business will be forcing out the "old guard", including the new head of the RNC. We'll immediately know if the titular head of the party has what it takes to lead us from the wilderness.
I envision a leader who is capable of forming alliances with current and new congressional candidates who are willing to run to the right with pride. Again, it ain't going to be anyone whom is being spoken about in the current national discussion.
