MNJohnie deserves to have his post bumped on every thread, added to your comments.

Oh yes, those Reagan conservatives are happy now, they're liberated.

Faux patriots IMO.

Dean...no such thing as conservative and liberal. No longer viable. "I don't know what those words mean".

IMHO having Lamar or Trent as the face of the Pubbies in the Senate would be a disaster! We need Sessions, Cornyn, Kyl, Coburn or Chambliss to be out there as the face of the Pubbies in the Senate telling our message.

That's what we need... but it won't be what we get. The same bastards(McCain, Specter, Graham, Collins... etc.) who positioned us for defeat... will be stronger than ever. The loss of Allen & Santorum is one helluva tragedy.

I will not point fingers at anyone on our side for our loss on Tuesday, because I really don’t think we are to blame.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Unity at all costs?

We will never regain our momentum unless the RINO effect abandoning the conservative agenda is clearly understood: The traducing of Tom DeLay, Bob Livingston, while Republicans remained almost silent was WRONG.

Republicans shilled themselves and the conservative agenda as long as it got them votes, and when the going got rough? They bailed. Hastert is one, a beck and call man for RINOs. He would not even let the AG prosecute a felon who was caught red handed ( Jefferson, the Dem Kick Back Bagman from Louisianna), going into the election's final months, DeLay and others saw no such respite.

People are responsible. They have to go: That includes John McCain, Arlen Spector, Dennis Hastert. The party will NEVER regain power without the conservative agenda.

Unity at all Costs is NOT the way to go.

Instead, ask how we can get men like Tom DeLay to step into leadership roles in the Republican Party.

Russert no suggesting that voter's opinion on war did affect 2006 Election. McCain states that a withdrawal or date for withdrawal will lead to "chaos".

There was a minimum wage amendment on the ballot which gave incentive for UNIONs to get out their vote. I have read that religious voters switched their vote to the liberals, and that is NOT Rush's fault.

Very True, dems used this minimum wage referendum on ballot at 8 states, which was used to contrast & challenge our marriage amendment to their advantage. In many places, the union votes made the difference.

As for Rush, I think he was a resident of Missouri which Bill Bennett mentioned.

Well, no, I don't have the stomach.

I'm moving to sports, FM radio, and books.

Monitoring the lies would mean listening to the liers, and my neighbors don't like it when I yell at the TV.
It's also hard on my voice and blood pressure.

I'll just stand by and wait for the terrorists to attack us again, in hopes that wakes up the left for another short period.

McCain is holding his ground on Iraq. McCain does suggest that if the US is not committed to win, bring the troops home, and that would lead to disaster.

I think HE played a major part in portraying Tom Delay & Rummy as evil and in the terrorist protection law.

One thing I noticed that the Clintons did which Republican candidates should take a page from: product placement.

Let me add to your observations.

Another difference during the Clinton years was the ubiquitous presence of cabinet secretaries on the news and talk shows---constantly pushing his agenda (especially Rubin). These past few years I've seen Condi and Rummy occasionally. But I rarely see others.

You know what a BushBot I am. But I would be hard pressed to name more than a few of his cabinet---Rummy, Condi, Gonzales, Nicholson (just because yesterday was Vets Day). I admit I had to look up Paulson at Treasury. Where have they been? Why do we never see them or hear them making news?

Have you noticed this?
