Gen Abizaid, when asked in today's by Senator McCain if he needed more troops said NO. He talked to every single commander in Iraq and NONE of them thought more US troops would help.

Abizaid then went on to point out that all sending more troops would do is marginalize the Iraqis and set back effort to turn the country back to their control.

A point that has being made to the Arm Chair Freeper Generals here for years. Such a pity people were so busy screaming hate at their own side they never bothered to listen to people who actually knew what they were talking about.
