Ari Flescher had a clue how to do the job and was "OK" at it, but Scott McClellan couldn't explain 1+1=2 to a second grader, let alone a bunch of lefties. Tony is definitely the best GWB's has hired for the job and I wish that he would have started the new job a lot earlier this year. IMHO.

Sen. CAAB is really good at getting up on the Senate floor and pointing out the "wrongheadedness" of bills and such.
It would be really great for him to get up, with his special way of explaining things..and have him give a speech about how it is just plain WRONG to have someone with Leahy's past, to have the access and power that a Judiciary Committee Chairman will have.
If nothing else...it will get that in the official record...and maybe, when there are more leaks (and we know there will be)...then someone might remember what Sessions said.
But, when you have Pelosi probably giving the Chairman of the INTELLIGENCE Committee job to someone that has been impeached for bribery....it shows to me that the dems just have no shame.
But, hey, what do I know---I keep hearing from all on TV and radio that America has spoken..and Americans are now going to be the ones to call the shots on foreign policy, and will look the other way when Dems are corrupt...
Sad, sad times are coming, Bah.

It's worse than that, Carolyn the system is corrupt from pre-schoo to college and beyond. You have to really look hard to find good schooling anymore.

ref #260, Republicans and GJB thought that the CFR would be knocked down by a sensible Court, unfortunately that did not happen. we need to blame McCain for this, and knock the Hell out of him in the Primaries in 2008. He was even trying to go back in and make the Bill worse than it is. He was so confident that the DBM would suck up to him and he would win the Primaries with the help of his sleazy DBM friends that I believe he Pushed this Bill just to get to run for President. That may sound sinister, and conniving, but I believe that was his plan all along. I think he was very wrong about the DBM, they have a lot of unused dirt on him, and I hope he has lots on them. He will never get the nomination, especially now that he has created such a mess.

I'm from MI and most people can't stand him. God help us all now that he's in charge of the Armed Services committee.

At some point I end up talking politics with almost everyone I know. Some more than others, but I believe I know the politics of all my friends and many of the people I meet. If they are unaffiliated I'll ask why, but I also tell them to feel free to ask me about anything political and I'll do my best to be honest and straightforward in my response to them.
I guess that's one reason I get a lot of emails when election seasons start. I also make it a point to comment on both sides of positions so it does not seem like I'm pressuring them.

You are right...but, I seem to remember (but, my memory is faulty sometimes)...that a year or so ago...someone pointed out to McCain that something he was advocating, (probably the torture bill)...
would anger his conservative base...and he commented at that time, that he really wasn't worried about the conservative base.
I know I have had that remark stuck in my head for a while...but if you ask for the source...it MIGHT find it by next year....LOL

4 British servicemen killed in Basra on the water. However a military spokesman has just said on Sky News in his opinion this attack is because recently there has been progress recently and this attack is in relation to that.

He(MeQueeg) thinks he is so slick when naive is really the true picture. He really thinks he can play all three sides, conservative, rino and rat all at once. Sorry, only bubba ever did that, and he almost got impeached.

i agree. I like Ari Flescher as a person and he was better than Scott McClellan, but Tony Snow is by far the best I've even seen in that position. I would not be surprised if we learn someday that Tony Snow was able to get GW more involved than he initially wanted to, or that GW changed some things per Tony's advice. If Snow writes a book on the GW White House in a few years I would buy it to learn what he thought of it all.

HI snugs! Yes, I hope so.
To: rodguy911
No, Clinton DID get impeached. He just escaped being convicted by a corrupt Senate and forced from office.
To: A.Hun
For the first four years I defended the President from moonbats. The last two, I have had to defend him from "conservatives". That was the difference this election.

What a good, but very sad, explanation of the situation we find ourselves in today.

#276, I believe that his audience is no longer people that want to hear News of a conservative nature and have him dialog with the callers. I think that one of the final blows to his credibility was when he kissed the ugly butt of Chuckie the Schmuckie Shoomer over his misguided attitude about the Port. He really looked like he had no clue that it was all about Union Contracts,Crime riddled Democrat run Ports. I believe that anyone that still listens to him is waiting for that day that he finally cracks up totally on the Air,he has been close a few times. These listeners cannot tear themselves away like staring at a bad wreck on the Interstate, or watching someone ready to leap off a building, or a bridge.
