The talking shows and the news programs were the worst I have ever seen, and I have been watching political news since the 60's.

However, should we get rid of all of them tomorrow, we still would have a problem, because liberalism controls academia, Hollywood, the music industry, and a fair chunk of the internet.

It is very hard to convince non-news people that your position is correct, when they know nothing of foreign affairs but their three favorite movie stars all trash Bush in every interview. About the only Republican immune from this is Arnold Schwartzenegger, because he got mega-famous before people found out he was a Republican.

AB, I've been monitoring the local Fox channel here in the Tampa area,
and have been for a couple of years. They have been blatantly
biased since before Jeb won reelection against Bill McBribe. This
election cycle they were orgasmic over Davis the dem running
against Charlie Crist.

I'll focus on this bunch. It will be a pleasure to call
them on their outrageous behavior even to a greater
degree than I have.

Very good point AB!
We complain to each other about media bias, and preach to the choir. It's time to rub their own noses in it.
These guys claim to be unbiased. If enough of us point out to them their biases, en masse, they, at least, will feel guilty claiming to be balanced.

Agree 100% anita, and the so-called conservatives who suck money from us like ticks on a dog, are even now BLAMING THE PRESIDENT for the loss. I am never buying another of their books, nor will I give their advertisers any money.

Last night, Russert opted that ...“given Rumsfeld's removal... doesn't this admit that Iraq is a failure?”

Troops Fear The Loss Of Rumsfeld

No, that is not the report by our Madrassa media. But the London Times (which opposed Iraq war) gives a fair account of interviews with out military commanders & soldiers without anonymous quotes.

Thanks!

The DBM does have one soft spot. It is their belief that they follow "journalistic ethics". They actually believe they're fair and balanced. They're quite arrogantly proud that they have "standards". It's part of their "save-the-world/liberal" worldview.

That is why it's so important to document them when they lie, distort, tell half the story, etc, and to point out when they're not covering an important story at all. We need to be there, with our evidence at hand, accusing them of unethical, unjournalistic behavior. It bugs them. If we go up against them by name, we just might bring them to heel.

But I believe we have to do this, one person at a time, one newspaper at a time, one channel, one broadcast, one editor. When we simply say the media is biased, they tsk tsk it away with their own so-called proof and statistics. They're quite good at distortion and changing the story. But if we have actual evidence, especially word-for-word, it becomes much, much harder to weasel out of the charge. And if we accuse them of journalistically unethical behavior (unethical cuts them to the quick), they might just think twice before they try again, especially if they know they're going to be called on it.

Great analysis Anita!
The msm/dbm/dnc had all their talking points in order, they seldom deviated, had conservative candidates all ready to run as dems and they pulled every trick out of their play book as well as a 6 year hit job on the adm. that finally jelled.

All it took was for a few of us to go soft--Boortz, Savage, wacky Pat,Rush-- attacking Michael J. Fox near the end and we did just enough to lose.
We need to have our act together next time and we will be unbeatable, but we cannot afford major dissension in the ranks.

We have to struggle to get conservative candidates whenever and wherever we can and take what we can get when a conservative candidate is not in the cards, if sending a message means losing, lets thinks twice about hitting the send button.

This election was a treatise on organization and control of the media. We were beaten by an opponent who mimicked us when he needed yet stood for nothing and were so weak they could not even elicit a party platform. Lets don't let that happen again.

Thanks, Rod. We lead them by 30 seats in the House. Now, they lead by 29 seats. Out of those 29 seats, 23 seats were won by 1000 to 2700 votes. If our candidates stick to our party & President without "distancing" themselves, the results would have been different.

Excellent post Miss Marple!
The only saving grace is that the msm is dying a slow but painful death. Their numbers are down each and every year and ours are growing.
People may seem as if they are in a malaise but once the DBM/DNC/rat paty begins to look more and more like the terrorists we are fighting even the dumbest of the dumb will start getting it, how fast is anyones guess.

07:30 AM EST
1:00 (est.) LIVE
Call-In
Political Party Issues
C-SPAN, Washington Journal
Michael Steele , R, Maryland
Donna Brazile , Brazile & Associates

&&&&&

Post #9 on this thread and we already have an example of bias. Donna Brazile gets listed with her title. LT GOVERNOR Michael Steele gets an R.

I am sick of calling CSPAN on these issues. I just illustrate this example to show that much of the bias is controlled by people not in front of the cameras (like Russert for example) but by the people who write the scrolls, or select the video images that go with a certain report, or who choose which camera angles to make live.

They all are of one mind and that mind is anti-conservative and anti-Bush administration.

Personally, I think we here at the New Media were out gunned by the old/drive-by media.

I agree.

After RATher got away with his attempt to subvert an election, the rest of the commies saw it as a green light... hence the Wilson/Plame/DBM scam. Katrina, while not a scam, was another perfect example of redirecting blame for a states dereliction of duty.

Bottom line is that what was once an overt bias in reporting... has mutated into a covert-operations/propaganda machine for the Democrat-Socialist party. An alliance that embraces every enemy of America when a Republican resides in the White House.

One thing I noticed that the Clintons did which Republican candidates should take a page from: product placement.

Did you ever wonder why Clinton continues to get high approval ratings? Earlier I talked about movie stars, etc. influencing the vote. The Clintons knew this, and they made use of that quite well.

During the Clinton years I quit reading news magazines and avoided shows where I thought he might appear. I read a lot of decorating and cooking magazines, non-political stuff.

I was astounded when Clinton started showing up in every place...House Beautiful carried Hillary on the cover (first time ever they carried someone's photo and not a room), they showed up in the movie magazines at the beauty shop, guested on TV comedies, and (my favorite) in an antique price mazagine which had currrent prices on cast-iron banks, the FEATURED photo was a BILL CLINTON PLAYING THE SAXOPHONE bank (which of course was not an antique)!

Those people who couldn't recognize a photo of Cheney when questioned on the street by Leno, knew who Bill CLinton was and had a vague impression he must be "cool."

And their votes count as much as ours.

Good morning Rodguy! As much as I hate too, I'm going to watch MTP and eat my humble pie.

I honestly thought that enough of the nation would realize what was at stake and vote to keep the Republicans in control. I was wrong.

I think a lot of conservatives forgot the awful consequences of losing the majorities.

I just got through to CSPAN (next to last caller this morning) and complimented Mr. Steele on his excellent campaign ads. I told him I was sorry that the WAPO did not have to eat that last editorial and asked him how he/we can overcome the media bias. Led to the discussion of how biased the WAPO was on their coverage of both Steele and Allen.

The same Madrassa media started their campaign against Tom Delay, the day he was elected as majority leader. Now, Harry Reid has far more serious ethical problems as does Mollahan, Menendez, Jefferson & Harman and suddenly is ok for them that they won't care.

Good morning everyone!

I think (like most) that there were several things to blame for our loss, but I agree w you AB, it was not a thumping (as many in the DBM and others are claiming) and so agree about the invludence of the DBM.

I posted an article yesterday about the DBM. If you all haven't seen it, you may want to check this out:
