From that quote you are telling us YOU believe that Bush wanted the democrats to win

Well, the Dems overwhelmingly support President Bush's "comprehensive immigration reform" legislation more than the representatives of his own party (as evidenced of the veto by the Repub-controlled House), and sounds pretty optimistic that his amnesty bill (or something similar to it) will get passed in the Dem-controlled House. So what does that tell you?

Post 110 provides zero information that President Bush purposefully threw the election or wanted the dems to win. So are you also agreeing with Weiner that Bush wanted the dems to win control of Congress? Is that what you believe also?

No. I don't believe he did it on purpose in a Machiavellian kind of way but I do believe by ignoring us, his conservative base, he caused this to happen and it appears he has no problem expressing some degree of happiness with the repercussions.

I don't think that Savage said it definitively that Bush threw the election. Can't blame him for having the thought cross his mind though.

I didn't mention Savage in that post (#201) at all. What Savage said regarding Bush purposely throwing the election is a bit of a stretch, but this "immigration reform" bill is on the top of President Bush's "to do list," and he knows it will be passed in the Dem-controlled House. No way in hell is President Bush going to come right out and say that he's glad the Dems won control of the House, but with only two years left to go in office and his crowning achievement of amnesty for illegals sure to pass legislation, you can bet he's satisfied.

"OK... so far Ive heard M Savage attack the President non-stop, attack Rush Limbaugh, attack Rummy and others. He is saying the President wants a Liberal Democrat Congress, and the President is "excited" to have a liberal Congress. I havent heard him say anything about liberal democrats.... just attacking Republicans.
I am starting to think you are right about him."

Yeah.
There are so many good people on the radio these days and this guy makes them all look nuts.

I don't believe Rush or Hannity were deceiving listeners. They were trying their best to explain the administration & possible reasons for their actions. Both are conservatives and I respect them. Rush & Hannity have done tremendous work to further conservatism - I appreciate the bright light they gave when many of us were feeling down, or rushing to judgemment. BUMP for them both.

1.)You can't smear someone with the truth.

2.)Respect is earned.

"No, your right, the minimum wage is wrong.

It basically leads to an increas in the supply of labour, i.e. an increase in unemployment, particularily for older unskilled workers.

But when you have a flood of illegals putting downward pressure on wages, you alter tha labor market in favor of businesses looking to hire low wage workers.

Take away the illegals and wages would tend to equilibrium.

Whew, some of the old university economics coming back to me."

yep

You've said it.

But you don't deliver.

I don't believe you can.

AND DO NOT EVER FORGET THAT EVERY MAJOR UNION CONTRACT IS TIED TO MINIMUM WAGE!

EVERY TIME THE MINIMUM WAGE GOES UP

SO DO THE UNION WAGES

BECAUSE THEY ARE WRITTEN SO THAT THE UNION WORKERS MUST MAKE A CERTAIN AMOUNT ABOVE THE MINIMUM WAGE {varying with each union }

SOMETHING THE DEMS MUST PUSH THROUGH AS PAYBACK!

AND AS A MEANS OF KEEPING THEIR VOTING BLOCK HAPPY!

Minimum wages go UP.....Union workers get RICHER!

"Not only is Checkers right about weiner, but the savage prototype of attempting to make conservatives look like raving idiots is being employed by a lot of phonies right here."

Yes.

Think about about insane and demogogic(sp) Weiner sounds to Freepers.

Now think how loony he sounds to, dare I say it, NORMAL voters.

He is hurting our cause.
