No, this is grasping at strawmen, to borrow the phrase. Bolton's term is up with the seating of the new Congress (when all recess appointments end). Even if GWB was foolish to re-nominate him (a symbolic gesture that might yet have merit, though), the RATs would never let it out of committee. The RATs won't waste their time when there are bigger fish to fry (Cheney then Bush).

Not if the people that remember VN have anything to say about it.

They did--and they said, "let's do it again."

What do you think would happen if GB had a press conference and explained why were were there in basic terms?

The press would say "Quagmire Halliburton Britney Spears is getting a divorce Dancing with the Stars blah blah blah."

How would people react if told congress was refusing to release money for supplies that the military needs?

They'd say, "Good, that's what I voted for" and flip the channel.

I worship no man. IMO this election was won by a third party (the media). That is what has got to be stopped. They spin garbage and if folks don't hear the truth elsewhere they believe it. Turn your tv on. Who is running the show right now? It isn't democrats or republicans.

Put Bill Clinton up for UN Ambassador. He will get the job when Hillary is elected anyway. Might as well get a head start on giving up our sovereignty.

Schumer Says Bolton Won't Face Filibuster!

Hold the Dems Accountable For What They Say!

"There's a good part of Bolton. He's been a staunch and very good defender of Israel," Mr. Schumer said on CNN's "Late Edition."

Might as well, what's the point of having him there since the congress won't stand behind him and everyone at the UN knows it.

If the Democrats are stupid enough to go after Cheney and then Bush for past grievances, they will lose in 2008.

The Democrats don't seem to remember how well that worked out.

Might as well face facts friend , we are in a heap of trouble.

What we need now is a belligerent, fighting president. What we have is George Bush. Mr. Nice Guy.

I missed the speech this afternoon, did he congratulate all the Dems on their Victory?

Lincoln Chaffee should let him through just to stick it to the state that did not vote for him.

Well, I don't think we're going to get a fighting President. Alas, I don't see anyone out there from either party who would be as tough as we need.

True, we have problems now, but we need to stop whining about our losses and start developing strategies for dealing with at least the next two years, maybe longer.

IMO YO is wrong. Bush and the RNC lost this election...not the voters. Most of us are smart enought to see through the liberal press (even FOXs disguise) but some don't seem smart enough to see the errors Bush has made that lost the independent vote. If all Rats and all Pubbies voted their party we would still need the independents to win. I went straight for the ticket out of self defense but I fully understand why some could not overcome the gag reflex. We better focus on tomorrow, today is lost. God help us all if the Hildebeast gets elected in '08.

The troops have been stabbed in the back for the second time in one generation by the American public.

I dare call it treason.

I"m pretty used to the hysterical cries of "treason" every few minutes, and I usually let it slide, but this one really bothers me. How the hell can an election result be treasonous? The people ARE the country, the first and last sovereign authority.

They're deliberately throwing the war on terror. They are giving aid and comfort to our enemies. That is an Article III, Section 3 definition of treason.

Bush is president in name only now. he has been given his marching orders by the dems, so he can avoid impeachment. The WOT was lost last night.
