1. Clintoon repeated and savagely cut our funding.
2. Clintoon declared that we had to purge all assets (sources of information) that had any human rights baggage. We lost most of our intelligence gathering ability in one day. To think that only nice and moral people are going to commit treason and espionage is naive beyond belief.
3. You, the American people, elected Senators and Congresspeople that were liberal. They in turn have pulled the teeth from the Agency and have created a culture there where no one dares take any risks.
Here is my prediction. All my friends who still work at the Agency tell me it is only a matter of time before there is a devastating attack on one or more major US cities. We're talking casualties probably in the millions. I agree with them. When that happens were are all going to pull together and liberals will be marginalized - or we will have a military coup with civil war to one extent or another.
If several cities are hit simultaneously, there will be no government help, there will be not nearly enough hospital beds, communications will break down, there will be massive refugee movements. People will die in the streets from their wounds, dehydration and disease. I'm not trying to sound like some kind of "right wing wacko" but by God people we had better wake up.

This is the blind foolishness that plays RIGHT SMACK INTO the leftist strategy. MANY think that moving center is a strategy that will keep the GOP in strong opposition to the left when, in fact, it is a trategy that will lead to the GOP becoming part of the left. If the GOP has to sell-out to left/centrist ideas in order to win, then we don't have a major party on the right-wing, anymore, we have two left-wing parties distinguished only by degrees; one moderate and one extraterrestrial, neither healthy for the longevity of the Republic.
I certainly think we need to

To every individual and group who will exercise any sane brain cells in considering what we have to say.
And, I think we must become more assertive at a minimum and moderately aggressive or more so in some contexts.
Polite PC hogwash will not do, if it ever did, which it didn't.
For Christians, a larger Kingdom has priority and an increasingly overt and looming one with many implications and consequences which far too few Christians are even awake to.
Nevertheless, there's a LOT of overlap in terms of for Christ's Kingdom and for the good of THE US of A.
Also, prayer is probably the most important good we can do for both, especially with earnest fasting. Then, living right, that our prayers have more potency.
I personally expect to see some horrid natural disasters in 4-8 months. Where will likely prove very interesting.
Iran has not gone away. Israel and particularly Jerusalem are still burdens around the neck of the whole world.

Given what's just happened . . . I suspect that

by some series of heavy duty miracles, we succeeded in doing as you propose . . . the puppet masters would immediately raise up another party and trash and shred the GOP more or less as much into oblivion as possible--which--given their rapidly growing power . . . would likely be considerable.
I pray we prevent Shrillery's crowning at all legal costs.
If she is elected, I expect that to be the last remotely legal election in my lifetime . . . unless George Soros and company stage a sham one for effect.
I think the infanticide initiatives that lost are a most telling and prophetic thing that will decide a lot that happens to our beloved land in the coming months and next few years.
Add to that the selfish, rebellious, arrogant folks who through their lot in with the DIMRATS . . . it's not looking good for a number of reasons on a number of fronts.

Odd as he might be sometimes, Michael Savage has been critical of Republicans who don't act conservative for a long time now. Why should we listen to Rush if for all this time, he was "carrying water for people who didn't deserve it"
Savage has been screaming for leadership from the Republicans for months and month. He was critized by many on FR as not being a team player.
At the National level -- the RNC -- yeah, I'll buy that, but not out among the States. Many -- if not most -- of the State GOP Committees are still pushing conservative candidates, especially for House races. THAT's where we have got to invest our energies; in turning those State-level selection and vetting processes more to the conservative vein (or bringing them back from the brink of abject leftist RINOism, as in the case of California). Where you choose to jump in has to be based upon your assessment of where you can have an impact. If things are too far gone at the state level, then you step down to your local district level.
This has got to be undertaken just as you'd remediate dry rot in your house. You've got to mercilessly tear into the walls, all the way down to the footings, and root out the decay from the bottom up; replacing the rot with sound wood AND taking additional steps to prevent recurrence.
It's the only way, and it has to be done, regardless of the time it may take to do it.

There will be no liberalism at that point. But it will not be that comforting.
One would tend to doubt that Nancy Pelosi's or Hillary Clinton's policy recommendations would bring much comfort either. One thing is for sure: Michael J. Fox's stem cell research won't help.

I think Rush had it all wrong today. Bush is doing his best to make the most of this situation, and the way to do that is to work with who he has to work with, and right now that's the Dems. If everyone would follow the high road that he does a ton of good stuff could get done for this country.
I very much disagree with Rush that Bush is doing this so that he can leave the WH with high ratings. That's not how Bush has operated for the past six years, why would he start now?
I'm disappointed in Rush today and hope that after a good night's rest he'll have some better perspective.

That's to be expected; many want to pretend that there are spheres of life (social, fiscal, spiritual, etc) that are disparate, and that one can uphold conservative principles in one sphere and be more lax in another. The Truth is, that whatever laxity one allows in one "sphere" has its root in an underlying philosophy that rationalizes in favor of such laxity, and that underlying philosophy forms thae basis of behavior in every aspect of one's life. Laxity over here, soon or late, eventuates into laxity over there, and over there, and over there... Those who live under the misconception that our lives are internally segregated in this way truly inhabit a Fool's Paradise and, in so doing, imperil us all with their rationalized concessions to evil.
The remedy is not scorn, nor chastisement, but clarity. People must be shown how this is true; how the roots of their personal social morals trace down to an underlying foundation upon which their whole life's edifice rests. Once that is clearly grasped, it becomes inarguable that compromises in the foundation impact the entire structure, not just selected aspects of it.
So, the solution path must incorporate a great deal of teaching and exhortation; rational appeals on behalf of a more conservative culture. Factually put, we cannot simultaneoulsy embrace the underlying philosophies of The Constitution and MTV, nor can a successful political party attempt such; the clash of opposing philosophies will eventually reduce the whole structure into two piles of rubble.
Wow, that's heavy. What an erie image: Lower Manhattan on 9-11 as a prophetic picture of how the simultaneous embrace of clashing philosophies brings destruction. We tried to simultaneously embrace fiscal conservatism (the WTC towers representing commerce and financial strength) and excuse our lax approach to global terrorism by approaching it as a criminal issue. The simultaneous embrace of the philosphy underlying our financial strngth and the philosophy shilling for our limp-wristed stance on terrorism resulted in a clash between them that darkened the skies over NYC and reverbrates through our hearts and minds to this very moment.
No one should believe for an instant that "big tent" attempts to embrace incompatible philosophies within the GOP will be any less destructive.
