I'm just sure that Bill Kristol, et al Beltway pundits will be really happy to know that the voters "listened" to them (punish Republicans for not doing what we told them to do.)

Expect the dims to immediately do a couple of things: defund Iraq; reverse tax cuts and attempt to jail Rummy and Cheney!!!

Fox News has gone off the deep end for the dimocrats tonight.

Let them know we do not appreciate their early calls in some of the races.

I don't want to see George Bush and Dick Cheney in the same state, let alone the same place, for the next two years.

The Democrats won't do anything different than what they're doing: whine, complain, and obstruct. They'll just do it more effectively. After 2 years of that circus we'll take it back.

America just invited the terrorists to attack us again.

Bin Laden is dancing a Jig right now.

Bush will now have to try and prosecute a war against our enemies while shitbirds like Conyers prosecute a war on him.

We're f___ed.

Uh huh, but if you look quickly and closely, many of those races have fewer than 50% precincts reporting, or the margin less than 3%.

Have they really forgotten FLORIDUH so quickly?

I have seen a LOT of races decided by less than 1,000 votes, it is way too early to be announcing this.

Republicans in Washington got what they deserved. Unfortunately, America must now pay the price for that stupidity.

Arrogance cuts both ways. Republicans had no business losing these elections but for sorry campaigning.

Is the partisan media calling Ton DeLay's district for the DemocRats?

34% of the vote in and the Republican is a WRITE-IN which is slowing the count down. Just because he gave a speech does not mean he won (he currently has 51% to 44%).

But what I'm seeing says 17+ seats went Rat.

Here in Houston there is NO National News coverage of the election. Just loco, I mean local.

Don't vanish Nov 8th. I have added you to my list of Grim Freepers. I will be pinging you to come by and explain this one. ONE time why don't you Grim Freepers all stick around the day AFTER the elections to try and explain why your absurd doom and gloom pronouncements turned out to be so much nonsense.. Not a chance at all of the Dems picking up 25 seats. NO chance.

I'm here, where are you?

1946. This scenario has happened before and we survived.

At least our boys won't spend every last time in the treasury.

It'll be interesting to see how this dooms the Democrats in 2008.

One thing I get to look forward to, will be the power struggle between Nancy Pelosi and Jack Murtha. Well she become the Majority leader or will Jack Murtha undermine her and fight for control. Time for the Democrats to have civil war within their party. The Democrats who campaigned on conservative principals will want prime committee chairs since they are the reason the Democrats have taken majority.

Yeah, well, I'll just wait until all the actual votes are COUNTED to see who actually won.

If we hold the Senate (and it's going to be TIGHT, Allen's in the fight of his life right now) then we can mitigate this damage.

The important lesson for the Republicans to take away from this is very simple. FIGHT. Don't try to be "less liberal." Run conservatives. Stick to your beliefs. Don't let the Democrats define the issues. Push back, and push hard, against the lies of the media. Fight.
