per britt, democrats clinch the house

When Republicans support the likes of Foley, what do you expect.
The Republicans screwed themselves. They didn't stand by their convictions.
The sad thing is that it looks like we lost the house, and the house republicans were stronger than the senate republicans.
The only thing good about tonight is that it looks like my kids are going to be solid republicans.
My 10 year old twin daughters were asking about the difference between republicans and democrats.
When I started explaining the differences, my daughter (with special needs - brain damage) says to me. Oh, the democrats want the US to be like China where everything is equal. Then she asked if they wanted to make it so that you could only have 2 kids.
My other daughter just looked shocked when I explained about gay marriage.
Both of them said they were definitely republicans.
Well, it it was true what was said about Tony Snow's words tonight...it appears the WH is not all that upset about tonight's results.
The scary thing is he way the media will react to her being speaker. egad!
Your view sums it up concisely.
And I dont mean to take it out on you like this... Im rather ticked right now. I am not in 100% agreement with you, but I also know that your not the problem.
From where I sit, it looks as if the Spirit of 1994 had long ago left the building. As I heard on KFI just a while ago, a bright spot that Tony Snow found in the shift of House control was reform of immigration policy that couldn't get passed with the congressional makeup to date. Immigration reform W style? Eff that. This is one of the first things out of Snow's mouth?
Time to do some soul-searching and get back to the GOP of 1994.
Oh yeah. She'll be on the tube nightly.
"You must be young. Democrats most certainly can spend more....and they will. I hope you were able to take advantage of the market of late."
Democrats can TAX more. Discounting the second world war, I don't see anyone who can deficit-spend like republicans, particularly in reference to bush43.
Any GOP claim to be anything but a big-government party is low-grade humor. The 1993 DNC congress and clinton, despite his 'stimulus' (payoff) package, was nothing compared to the peacocks who passed the transportation bill.
I know some people will be mad about my statement, but I personally think that the republicans should drop abortion off the national platform.
I think they should take a really strong stand against illegal immigration and they should take a strong stand for border security.
They also need a few issues that will really galvanize middle class America.
Life if tougher on the military when libs are in charge.
Not surprising, though.
What is it about Shepard Smith that makes me think he likes having the Democrats win?
"Unless we lose the senate as well, Bush will not use his veto pen often."
Oh come on! There is nothing conservative about the Senate. Most of the Republicans their act exactly like democrats. That their version of immigration reform for example. Enough said.
Unfortunately, your plan sounds like the a good one. I think hubby and I will be buying some guns tomorrow. Me a rifle and him another handgun. I'm sending in my concealed carry permit as well.
Tuesday, November 4, 2008 is Election Day. That's 727 days away since I'm posting after midnight in the east.
Isn't he a homosexual?? It makes perfect sense.
We live in a cesspool, politically.
