I'll wait for the votes to be counted first. If we lose, so be it - we'll get it back in 2008.
Even if we lose the House, unlike the Dims, I'm not going to sulk and spit for the next two years.
The last thing we (FR and the RNC) need is a collective 'wailing and gnashing of teeth' ala DU/DNC.

I think Lieberman's third party win shows that this was less a referendum on the war and more a referendum on a Republican majority, including our president, that was too often content to ignore problems like illegal immigration and out of control spending, while not working hard enough to get our message out about Iraq. I talked with a lot of people - including family - who voted Democratic today. They were sick of the ineptitude, corruption, and tin ears of the Republican party. For example, one person in Florida I talked with said she voted for Nelson because she thought his stance on the war was "common-sense."
I also spoke with a law school friend who thought that Speaker Pelosi will be the best thing that ever happened to the Republican party - because the Republican party will have to clean up its act. I hope he's right.

Funny, when Dems lose they break down in tears, crawl into bed, go on medication, wail, threaten to leave the country as soon as they can find their bunny slippers... we just grimace and say "life goes on."

I think the much bigger prize is the White House in '08. Having the nuts in charge of the House just puts their sillines and incompetence on display.

Yawn. Our House majority got nothing done anyway. Let Bush spend his last two years fighting off investigations and exercising his veto pen. At least it'll keep him from trying to pass any more giant entitlement programs (won't it?)

I wonder if the media will tell us that the American People "had a temper tantrum" last night?

They're really going to regret it when the Arab street starts celebrating the Dems wins.
the only reason why I even bothered to vote for republicans is because of the terrorist gaining ground on us... honestly if 9/11 never happened, I wouldn't shed a tear for the GOP tonight. But looks like the GOP's failures brought this on themselves ... failures being protecting america from the mexican invasion, fixing social security, reducing federal spending. IMO as far as entitlement spending goes, the GOP is no different then the democrats.

I wonder will the Democrats in the House try to initiate impeachment proceedings, anyway. They last thing they want is that causing instability in our equities markets, especially given the huge amount of Americans invested in 401K's.

I'm guessing that '08 is when the RINOs really lose support of the base (short of internal Islamist attack(s)) .
