Please Mods can we have one central Live thread ...its tough jumping from thread to thread to get results.
Whatever happened to the Lynn Swann campaign? I admit I didn't follow that race too well (not being from PA), but he sure seemed to me to be an exciting candidate...
Thank you Pukin Dog.I thought it was just me who noticed that the normally gloomy Kristol seemed extremely gleeful tonight.
What?
He's not saying anything to that effect. I don't know what you're talking about.
U.S. Senator Precincts Reporting 730 of 3746
Talent, Jim REP 216,101 53.0%
McCaskill, Claire DEM 176,643 43.3%
I almost missed that; but if I'm not mistaken, you were or are a proponent of "teaching them a lesson," are you not?
Current Senate Make-up
RED 52 - BLUE 46 - G 2
I noticed the same thing but keeping up with this thread is damn near impossible. Those candidates and incumbents who distanced themselves from Prez Bush, are going down in flames. Those who embraced him, are doing well. Santorum being the exception.
anything new?
You mean, as in taking away a donk seat?
I don't think so.
(unless you count Foley's seat, which the MSM had already awarded to the dems)
Precincts Reporting: 2267 of 2443 (92.80%)
Registered Voters: 4,555,687 Total Voting: 2,126,155 Voter Turnout: 46.67 %
Candidates Party Vote Totals Percentage
G F Allen Republican 1,060,853 49.90%
J H Webb Jr Democratic 1,039,727 48.90%
by my estimation there are about 33,000 votes yet to be counted...
I'm on number one and I'm feeling mighty good about the firewall anchor in VA!
The base turned out.
The mushy middle turned their back.
Correct yourself, please.
I wonder if there is some way to give this genius, Karl Rove, to the democrats so he can plan their next October Surprise.
And New Jersey has become New York City West.
Anyone who thought the GOP had a chance in hell of picking up Menendez's seat was smoking crack.
Once again, a beautiful post!"
I'm having some interest in the response to that post. Some are practically in hysterics--the same sort of attitude displayed to anti-illegals, critics of the Harriet Miers nomination, the critics of out of control spending, the torpedoing of conservative candidates in exchange for those who were perceived as 'pliable' by certain administration types....the list gets longer.
I'm waiting, just waiting, for some of the responders to blame conservatives for the loss. The warnings on this site (which have been much muted for some time now) are bearing some bitter fruit.
In a nutshell, the Rockefeller types did it to themselves. (BTW, for the crazy types in the attic, I DID vote. And, in crucial races, for the Republican. Certain other votes were for conservative candidates.)
That's not going to happen. We are not leaving Iraq in the next two years. Ain't 'gonna happen...
U.S. Senate - Maryland

Candidate Party Vote Count % Votes Cast
Ben Cardin Dem 139,066 53.7%
Michael Steele GOP 115,822 44.7%
Damn, this changed all of a sudden?
LOL!
what the heck is Mccain trying to do? He is acting big time for the mods.
90% reporting but fox will not call it.
However the dems are called with 10% only reporting.
Fox is pushing McMoron.
