The one thing I will not do this evening is turn on the TV or radio. I refuse to hear their gloating tonight after a hard days work at the polls. The only news I will get tonight will be on Free Republic
To: Howlin
My exact thought too: Hope everyone enjoys the ride.
In all seriousness I'm going to start learning Spanish tomorrow.

If the RATS take power tonight, I blame it entirely on the MSM and their atrocious coverage of the GOP and President Bush. I cannot even begin to describe what I would like to do to the NY Slimes, Washington Compost, LA Times, Chris Matthews, that bitch Katie, Keith (I am a communist) Olbermann, Joe (I used to be a republican) Scarbrough. I really need to give the wife the key to the gun safe and have her hold it for about a week. You are wrong. You need to blame these wishy-washy pubbies & start at the top with a president that allowed this. A president that was talking AMNESTY last week. A president that had 3 yrs to clean out the Sunni Triangle & played a political correct war & got stung. A president that can't veto a spending bill. A president that won't shut down these disgraceful media outlets for the lies that they spew daily. No, my friend this is due to complacency & political correctness & lack of a stern leader at the top.

the point is, if you have a base that doesn't vote for you - then you don't have a base. any drift on the immigration issue, we fought back on, and the House held the line. so the base tosses them? explain that.

They dont have to be so damn Happy about it? I haven't watched one minute of the coverage, except when I turned on Fox (mute button) to see Billy Kistal smirking. Honestly, isn't he the worst looking guy?

Just saw on another thread: Santorum concedes.Already? With what, 0.000000003 percent of Precincts reporting???

Bound to happen....
Some will blame it solely on Taft, but he's only part of the issue.
The GOP struggled to get the message out this entire campaign.
FReepmail coming soon.

ATTENTION: All Conservative bashers. Conservatives showed up. It's the precious unreliable moderates that seem to have sat this one out. So if you want to blast anyone, thank the ungrateful pack of Republican Moderates the GOP catered to the past two years. Don't believe me? Check out what races are going down. It ain't the conservative strongholds by and large, it's the wimpish Lib Mod districts.
Also, LOOK at the DEMOCRATS riding "the Wave". Almost every single one ran as a CONSERVATIVE.

Christie Whitman out there this morning, complaining that the republicans spent too much money so we need a change. Someone with her track record when it comes to government spending should keep her mouth shut. New Jersey will spend two generations paying off the bonds she floated to balance the state budget when she was in office.
