I've lived in the state of Virginia for almost 12 years now, and I've seen the gradual progression of the change that has been taking place over the last several years from used to be Republican lock to what is now almost a tossup.

I'm telling you right now, if the state of Virginia has several more years of the immigration levels that we've had for the last several years, we are going to end up becoming permanently Democrat. If you don't like hearing that, that's too darn bad, but it's the truth. I hope the Republicans will listen before it's too late.

People on this very site have been against every single thing the GOP and Bush have done; we've had to fight THEM, instead of the liberals.

You are absolutely right- we've only ourselves to blame. We need to circle the wagons, put away our differences and start the long difficult business of rebuilding. This is a time for unity.
