A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day

Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

Feeling very patriotic today and to be honest, a bit anxious about the results of mid-term elections tonight. In light of that, the theme for today's thread is borrowed from a post a couple of weeks ago, by proud2beconservativeinNJ, who wrote:

"I would like to start a collection of Finest great flag shots so I could enjoy them all day long. So many are just darn beautiful."

I'll start with a few of mine and sprinkle more throughout the comments. Hopefully, the other host/hostesses will share some of their favorites, so be sure and check back often for more reasons to love our flag!

I saw Lori's beautiful pledge with the traveling vietnam wall you posted dave. I am so excited...we have the wall coming here in July. I will then be president of our local Rotary Club and we are going to be VERY involved. It is wonderful to see all the local service groups and everyone who are rallying this soon about this event!

Great slide presentation. Thanks Purple and yes, my sign on is not the easiest to remember. A little on the long side, but I was feeling overwhelmed by this liberal blue state I live in. I found America-loving, hopeful and great patriotic Friends here in 2004.

Appreciate your words...but I have barely been able to look at t.v. today but when I did peek it was the same, even Fox was reporting the same.....the dems would take the house (maybe more than predicted) and possible take the Senate. But I will say one thing. I did write CNN and it probably goes into the trash. I told them it looked like THEY may have won over the Republicans. Instead of THEY, I used CNN. It was pretty nasty but had to do it..........

Yes, I sure do! I am so pleased that I was able to welcome you here and that you stayed with us. FR needs thousands more God-loving patriots like you. :-)

I am trying not be depressed, but it is hard to keep thinking positive. If it weren't for FreeRepublic, I would have lost hope long ago. At least I can come here and be encouraged by the outpouring of love for God, our country, and conservative values.
