A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day

Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

Feeling very patriotic today and to be honest, a bit anxious about the results of mid-term elections tonight. In light of that, the theme for today's thread is borrowed from a post a couple of weeks ago, by proud2beconservativeinNJ, who wrote:

"I would like to start a collection of Finest great flag shots so I could enjoy them all day long. So many are just darn beautiful."

I'll start with a few of mine and sprinkle more throughout the comments. Hopefully, the other host/hostesses will share some of their favorites, so be sure and check back often for more reasons to love our flag!

I may not be around too much today.

PrissyMissy woke at 10:30 last night ..... really sick. She seemed to be okay so I went to bed at 1:30. This morning she told me that she woke again when everyone was asleep and drank some water and was sick again.

We vote absentee but always take our ballots to the polling place. Since Marissa stayed home today, we called Mr Just's brother to come over and stay with her for 15 minutes. I think she is feeling a little better but is still not very active.

I probably should think about something for her to eat. So far today, she's had water, sprite and jello. It may be about time for some chicken noodle soup. :)

Hey, Sistah A! So good to see you here today, and thank you - I thought the tiny twinkling red stars dressed up the plain white background just enough that the vignetted pledge graphics would work without putting a frame around most of them. :)

I love your *aqua* tinted graphic with the cross shining through the stars of the flag.
