A group of soldiers in the Minnesota National Guard is behind a comically misspelled sign mocking recent comments by Sen. John Kerry about people who didn't study in school being "stuck in Iraq."
The photo shows eight soldiers holding a white sign with heavy blue letters spelling out, "Halp us Jon Carry - We R stuck hear n Irak."
Marty Sayre, from St. Cloud, is the man between the "A" and the first "R" in Carry.
Sayre, a police seargent in St. Cloud, has been deployed for nearly a year Police Chief Dennis Ballantine said Thursday. Ballantine said the department learned of Sayre's presence in the photo when Sayre sent them an e-mail confirming as much Thursday morning. "He said it was (the photo) something they had put together for family and friends and that they had no idea it would spread like this," Ballantine said.

Shame shame.
I motion that from this moment on he be known by his rightful name of Carry.
Anybody second the motion?

I would hate to see the riot when volunteers are called for Kerry's firing squad! I guess we could tie Kerry to a stake and let the 140,000 troops throw the first stone!
they're without sin but not Judas, aka Kerry!

What's with that Police Chief? Is he saying that he didn't know whether his sargeant was dead or alive until he saw the photo? That seems rather lame to me.
Gotta love those guys! Kerry can go eat dirt!

My personal favorite:
"American troops are terrorizing women & children in the middle of the night - Iraqis should be doing that..."

The only thing which could have made that sign better is if they had spelled it, Carrie'!

The benefits of that sign will probably never be fully recognized.

Is he saying that he didn't know whether his Sergeant was dead or alive until he saw the photo? No, he is saying he learned that Sayre was in the photo when Sayre told him that.
