NYT PLANS EXCLUSIVE STORY ON IRAQ AND RESEARCH OF NUKE BOMB... NEWSROOM SOURCE TELLS DRUDGE: 'IT WILL LEAD THE PAPER ON FRIDAY... IT SHOULD IGNITE NEWS CYCLES'... DEVELOPING...
well, the NYT source does sound awfully giddy about it...maybe he thinks that the Times may have sunk the GOP ship...
I don't know though...If Drudge quoted his source correctly, it would seem to me like the story is about Iraq's research of Nuclear bombs...if there was no research going on, or if it was about BushLied, then wouldn't you think that the headline might read differently?
Its gonna be a restless night...
Hmmm...
Based on the skimpy info provided so far, here's my guess: The NYT is going to tell us "Bush's failed Iraq policy" made the poor Muslims mad. So mad, in fact, that they may set some nukes off in the U.S.
Naturally, that means any future nuclear attack on America will be Bush's fault.
Be prepared to be sick to your stomach.
I just can't see the Slimes writing anything other than administration hit pieces.
I just doesn't happen and won't happen tomorrow.
It will be another leak that is most likely a lie, but it will keep the drive by media occupied for the next 5 days.
Say bye,bye to the Kerry controversy. And we didn't even get a damn commercial out of it.
What the hell is wrong with Mehlman? He has been quiet as a church mouse, much like Rove.
New Iraqi government, with the help of Iran, is developing nuke. (Just a guess.)
Bush's Fault!
Pray for W and The Election
At this point it is all about getting out your base and trying to prevent the oposition from getting their base out.
It is too late to change too many people's minds.
Sadr is developing a nuke using plaque off of his teeth.
it'll probably be something like a picture of Rummy shaking hands w/Sadaam when Iraq was our Ally and saying that he personally gave them nuke capability or something ridiculous.
It's probably some anonymous lib hack, current or former in one of the intel agencies, claiming "I told them Iraq had no active nuclear program!" Of course, it was probably only one person's two cents amidst a vast stream of intel issues and sources, but it will now be presented as the supposed "smoking gun" that the Bush WH was supposedly ignoring (yeah, like Bush and Cheney were just hankering to invade Iraq even if they somehow knew there would be no WMDs and the libs could spend the rest of their lifetimes bashing this issue).
Considering that the NY Slimes is printing this 4 days before a national election, it's a pretty sure bet that it is meant to be embarrassing to Republicans!! Whether there will be any substance beyond the usual anonymous disaffected hacks is another question....
It's got to be something along the lines of (1) -- Bush knew they didn't have nukes but left the threat of nukes in as one of the reasons for invading. But it does seem old news.
whatever it is, it has to be a lie. that's why they waited until now to print it, not enough time to debunk it, but in just enough time to get all over the news.
recycled news to get Kerry off the front pages?
Yea...but? Maybe its a Bush/Rove master stroke!!
"OK Mr. Schultzburger, we won't throw you and your editor in jail for revealing US Government secrets (terrorist wiretaps, secret prisons, +others) in exchange for your publishing a scoop that reveals how close Saddam really was to a nuke - four days before the 2006 mid-term elections. Do we have a deal?"
I can't figure out any other reason that the NY Times would bring up the subject prior to an election. After all, the majority of the U.S. has bought the canard that "Saddam wasn't even close to a nuke."
Postulating, wild guessing.........
Nukes went to Syria..slipped through Bush's fingers.
NYT PLANS EXCLUSIVE STORY ON IRAQ AND RESEARCH OF NUKE BOMB
Saddam is going to be sentenced to death on Monday and his worshippers at the NY Times are hysterical.
It will be a hit piece against our President as well as a sympathy plea for Saddam.
Just one problem .. Bush never said they had nukes
