Time will tell.

Can't say I'm surprised but I'm always greatly disappointed to hear this sort of thing. I don't recall, were you teaching at a public school?

Church Building Demolished Forcefully, Furniture Inside Destroyed, By Chinese Authorities In Jilin Province
By Michael Ireland
Special Correspondent, ASSIST News Service
MIDLAND, TEXAS / JILIN PROVINCE, CHINA (ANS) -- A house church building on the campus of Changchun Agricultural University in the suburb of Changchun city, Jilin province was recently demolished forcibly by the local Chinese government.
China Aid Association (CAA) says it is known that the building served as the gathering place for Nongda house church when religious activities were held there. The place was also used as the Morning Star Supermarket in other times. According to witnesses, the government sent 500 policemen and several hundred peasant workers to the site at 4 o'clock in the morning.
"They drove the people out of the building while they were sleeping. Within an hour, the main part of the building as well as the furniture in it became piles of debris. In the entire process, no explanation was given on the issues," CAA says.
In a report obtained by ANS, CAA says the Nongda house church, which has a history of more than 10 years, serves mainly the brothers and sisters in the nearby countryside. It not only gained reputation in the surrounding areas, its influence reached as far as Heilongjiang and Inmongolia.
"Though being threatened, attacked, and harassed frequently, the church has always stuck by the principle of not being affiliated with 3-Self church, or registering to the government. They hold the orthodoxy Christian belief, and cherish the biblical truth, " CAA said.
The group adds: "Who can imagine that within an hour's time, the main part of their church building was bulldozed under the pretext of "urban appearance rearrangement." Only a two-story building was left.
"Brothers and sisters of Nongda house church ask earnestly that the Lord's body pray for their church in tribulation."
CAA appeals that the Changchun government give an account to Nongda house church concerning the event as soon as possible, and arrange a place for the new building, in order not to bring shame on the ancient city of Changchun.

Muslim group sets up panel to investigate sheikh's remarks
Australian Broadcasting Corporation ^ | 5 November 2006
Posted on 11/04/2006 9:31:31 PM PST by Aussie Dasher
The Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA) says an independent panel is being set up to investigate if comments made by Sydney cleric, Sheikh Taj el-Din Al Hilali, endorse rape.
Sheikh Al Hilali has been at the centre of controversy since comments he made suggested women who dressed immodestly were inviting sexual assault.
He says his comments have been taken out of context and will resign if an independent panel finds him guilty of endorsing rape.
LMA president Tom Zreika says a panel will be established to look at the matter.
"The process has to be conducted and it will be conducted," he said.
He has not confirmed a timeframe for the investigation.
Outside Lakemba Mosque in Sydney yesterday, Sheikh Al Hilali introduced Cindy Taylor, who said she travelled from Victoria to defend him because he has been misunderstood.
"People really need to have more of an open mind," she said.
Ms Taylor said she has been sexually assaulted twice and she understands what Sheikh Al Hilali tried to say in his sermon about women and rape.
She says he believes sexual assault is one of the worst crimes.
"His analogy certainly did not justify the act of rape," she said.
